Best Clutch For The Job

for an rb20det 200+kw with the matching gearbox

currently has a HD ceramic button clutch which im sure is great but i need to be able to street the car with heavy traffic.

the car will not have a hard life but i dont want to be restricted.

whats a good option for a clutch replacement with some play but hard enough to take the power when it needs to?

i was thinking just the Exceedy HD organic clutch not the ceramic, will it cop the pain if it needs to?

also how much should i expect to pay for one and to fit?

i've got a clutch industries in my 32gtr, is so light its weird. clamp force ought to handle your power.

also what Is a stock or stock replacement clutch rated at? not that i would be that stupid, just curious

Just about any full face organic clutch with a suitable clamping pressure will be fine at the power level you're at.

NPC do organics rated to 300kw - IIRC mine was about $700 delivered. Very easy in traffic.

NPC or raceclutch(jim berry) i have been through quiet a few clutches in my time and there are only a handful i would ever use and recomend, those being Nismo super coppermix twin, Jim Berry's, NPC's and i have had good experiences with Project Mu super singles in lower powered cars. For your application i would go the JB or NPC. If calling jim, have a six pack handy, man likes to know everything before he commits to anything and definately knows his shizznit on the clutch front.

Ive got a carbotic button clutch, its very manageable in traffic. It has a small friction point but really this isn't something you can't get used to...

Organic cushion lining hasn't faded yet either, still alright to drive in traffic.
