Well written ActionDan.

Disappointing to read however. Brad came across as a bit of a champion of the automotive industry to me based on face value. His work seems to be fantastic according to the pictures posted.

It will be sad if he can't get his life/business reputation back on track enough to be able to post on here again to inspire us.

I feel for everybody that has paid money and not received as they're promised. That burns you bad and makes you distrust everyone you buy from in future.

Brad, please redeem yourself!

Wow, just went through this thread and looked at some of his work... Amazing!

It's a real shame, I do actually feel for you guys... and this bloke if he is going through really rough times at the moment though. :/

my aristo went to brads after getting stuffed around by BSA..........brad said he could do the work BSA couldnt in a few weeks......3 months later car was untoched and deposit was paid for the work.........after my car sitting there for 3mths get a call from brad saying he cant do it and need to book it in for few months time(I PAID FOR THE TOWES TWICE)............so car go back 6mths later only half a petrol tank and shitty thin alloy ie 3mm rear strut bar that went thru the fuel tank.

i ended up making all my bits i needed myself

When I first contacted Brad about my car, I had no idea of the issues that some of the customers had. So I did my research and spoke to Dan (and tried to contact Bozman) to gain as much info as possible. I then decided to not take my car there and even said I would be crazy to do so. But after several conversations with Brad I decided to give him a chance. Basically, do some good work on my car and start the process of rebuilding your business and reputation or screw me over - it came down to him ie he controlled what happened from here on in. At the time it was a massive risk on my part given all I had heard and I honestly cannot believe I took the risk. But I decided to trust him and give him another chance to start afresh. So far I am very glad I did.

I will add I was not aware people were owed money as I understood it to be a situation where work was not performed on time or as promised. I feel for the guys that are owed money and also the guys that did not get the work done. I genuinely do hope it is sorted promptly - for everyone's sake.

In my opinion Brad's business is at a cross roads. There is no doubt, he has the ability and skill to make it work and turn the business around or he can continue to have issues and completely say goodbye to his business. I genuinely feel he is trying to make it work and I hope for his sake and others that are owed, he does.

And oddly, when talking to SRS13 on the phone, I was still very much in two minds about whether he should take his car there.

It looks like that's going well, which is great.

As I mentioned before, I'm not out to defame Brad or cause issues, but I've put a lot into SAU over the years from tutorials to assistance for the new import owners (much like what was given to me when I first started out) and I honestly feel like there's some duty to honestly share what's gone on so that others may, at the very least, make an informed decision.

Trying to think about it from Brad's perspective, I'd be inclined not to respond to any of this, as I watched how the PF thread unfolded so there's little to be gained by him in addressing it directly, rather I'd get absolutely stuck into my work and let satisfied customers be my response.

If he did that, I can see public sentiment being swayed quite easily.

I just got an SMS from Brad asking how I was getting on with the cage install since our discussion.

I mentioned that he should take a look at this thread and use some of the feedback as motivation to tidy up loose ends and smash out some quality work.

PFRE are no longer a valid SAU Trader.

We've been working with people impacted as long as we can in the hope they would get their money back or at least the goods they paid for.

2 months on some people have been sorted out (hence we've been holding off decision on Trader), but unfortunately others people have not even been contacted and this is simply not good enough and it cannot continue.

An unfortunate situation as the work was good, when it was actually done.

Only just saw this thread and some of the responses in it.

I've known Brad for a bit over 6 months now and I thought I would share my experiences. These experiences aren't just based of a one time visit, I've had work done there on 3-4 separate occasions; from getting oil/fuel coolers installed, to re-wireing task and full suspension set ups costing thousands of dollars.

From the very first time I dealt with him, he has been nothing but fair and willing to help at every turn.

I've always paid him the amount thats owed and he's always done the work I've asked him to do. If there is ever extra work that he thinks needs to be done he calls me, tells me how much its going to cost and lets me decide if I want it done (I usually do what he reckons as he has been around these cars more than most). He's generally very strict on deadlines as well (I think there was one time where he was over time only cause he was sent the wrong parts).

The work has been of a high standard and if there was ever anything that I needed to be touched up for fixed there has never been a problem getting it done ASAP and its always been free of charge. I would also like to add that the prices have always been fair and that there has never been a bill that's been higher than quoted.

To be fair he doesn't always answer his phone but seriously get over it! He is the sole owner of a business that is constantly pumping out work so he's usually fairly busy (imagine if you had people calling you up all day every day, especially when there are so many frigan time wasters). As stated before he has his own personal issues at the moment so I think he's doing a pretty good job based on the amount of work that gets pumped out of that shop.

I know that people have some other issues with him, though there are ALWAYS two sides to every story and its sad to see that he has been removed as a trader based on a couple of peoples experiences...his knowledge and experience will be missed.

I still recommend him and will continue to use his shop in the future

That's a pretty weak defence. I don't give a crap if he answers the phone, I'll even put up with waiting a couple years but I'm none to keen on throwing money down the drain. Tell you what, I'll sell you Brads debt and then see how you feel.

Sorry Aggroman. But I took issue with comments like 'get over it' or people losing up to 6k in one hit not being good reasons for mods to remove trader status. Plenty of people have posted positive feedback about brad without feeling the need to brush of the pretty big issues a lot of others are having.

I've had a fair amount to do with Profab over the years. Previously i've recommended brad/Profab to many people on this forum. One of those being Dcieve above, who has been trying to get cash back for some time.

I've also had a couple of my cars at brad's house (prior to profab) as well as at the Profab workshop, my r31 was one of them. In the case of the R31, the work was paid for up front, at an agreed rate. Almost 4 years later I have finally collected my car. I found it to be in a poor state, with only 50% of the work completed. I just got tired of the ongoing excuses and continued lack of communication from brad. Now I'm left with a car that still doesnt roll and, as agreed with brad, I am owed an amount of money for parts and incomplete work. I am still waiting for my parts and cash.

What irks me most is hearing from other customers (in passing conversation) that brad has informed them the reason why the r31 is still there is that the owner hasn't paid his bill.

I have kept quiet on here in the hope that brad would come good on his word.

I appreciate that occasionally a person can go through a rough time, however after 4 years of " rough times" and somewhat at times unbelievable excuses, I have had enough.

Two week update

I have got a few text from brad saying the parts are almost ready and he has some cash for me .......but sadly still no parts or cash

    • January or Feb is it booked in for turbo fitment?
    • The MX5 has had some annoying rattles in both front doors over bumps So I installed fancy pants door bushings, which stopped all of the rattles with the windows up, but........with the windows down there was still rattles, so after some googling,  and a chat with MX5 Mania, I got some new door to glass weather seals, all the rattles, windows up, or down, are gone now Shout out to MX5 Mania, the weather seals were on sale, and when I head to Dural to pick the up they even fitted them for me for free I did see a "really" nice Blue NA sitting out front   and this Black NC PRHT that looked like it has sat in the sun for its whole life and never had a wash, the clear coat was non-existent, an it looked horrible, really horrible, but, it had a nice turbo kit with over 200kw, the thing went like a cut snake, bagging the rears through the gears and dosing like a champ 😍 But, as I've always stated, I am keeping my NC na, I'm happy with the current power the car makes In other news: MX5 Mania do a drive in drive out turbo kit, the only minor additional part recommended for boosting my car, as it sits now, is a oil cooler, and that bonnet vents are definitely required for track use Aftermarket version look a bit to "racecar" spec I wonder how Focus RS bonnet vents would look?????
    • Paint is only structural when applied to the outside of Chinese and Indian cars. Otherwise it should never be present between mechanical joints that were intended to be metal to metal. Pain slips, slides, cracks, compresses, and add thickness that wasn't intended to be there. It comes firmly under the category of "just no".
    • appreciated it thanks   There are threads on the adaptor. I rear re anodising but didn’t know it will reduce strength   re mating services needing to be flat/ not painted, why would that be?
