yeah, im very grateful they are going to have a look at it. I would have been in a bit of strife if they werent going to have a look! Not alot to report on, just ordered a new balancer today, got a ross metal jacket. Trying to organise some time off so i can get chris from audio express to come up and get some alarm stuff done(in between sinking bulk piss and the possibility of fishing).

Everytime i have a quiet week something goes wrong, like todays effort, quiet day, only job on for our franna crane, on the way there it lunches the transfer case, now there is an easy 36k gone :( took out the emergency steer pump, 4 uni's, the torque mounts for the box and the centre air tank! I so need a bloody holiday

well, water pump showed up on thursday, still looking for sump baffles though. Starting to look like a complete engine again! For those interested, i found a waterpump locally at REPCO, it was to suit an R31 skyline, but here is the kicker, make sure you get the GMB or REPCO branded pumps. I pulled one to bits and checked everything out, they are exactly the same as the stock one i have, down to the seals and bearings! i vernier'd the pump rotor, same as a stock pump as well, same number of blades, same with and length as well. Ill take a snap or 2 and post it later on when i get off my a$$ as i have some fishing photos to upload as well today

I found the same thing when I bought my Bursons waterpump at less than half the cost of OEM.. 30K km's later with drift days and tracking it not a problem.

If you are after a good sump baffle my good friend Paul (Piggaz on sau) has a JUN baffle with trap doors etc out of his Tomei 2.8 for sale. see here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/395875-gtr-parts/page__p__6289057__hl__jun+sump+baffle__fromsearch__1#entry6289057

I would of bought it myself but i wont be pulling my sump off anytime soon. Tell him Dave sent you and he might knock a bit off the price

well, its been a while, work has had a hold of me pretty firmly lately. The top end is assembled, bottom end assembled and its just waiting on a baffle and the sump goes on. The turbo looks a little bit BFOT but hey, i wanted the kick in the nuts of it so thats what i get lol

A few quick snaps of it as it site until tomorrow(obviously it will be under wraps so no crap gets in there lol)

Bottom end all assembled

Sump baffles arrived today so ill be doing an install and review writeup on them tonight

Cheers guys and enjoy

sump is on. Now to get to the nitty gritty. Looking at ignition options and injector choices. Havnt gone a balancer yet as i dont know if it will warrant a trigger setup or not. Still a little way to go

Looks like the head will be delivered to UE today so I'll be out there this arvo. If so I'll give you a buzz tonight.

Thought id throw up some pictures of the sump baffles. They are really a Bolt In affait. It doesnt get much easier than the Nismo baffles.

As you can see, they use the factory hardware for mounting and are one piece unlike the tomei baffle. Perfect fitment except for a slightly bent corner due to bieng mishandles by Auspost, but easily ficed by gently bending it back

well, progress has been slow due to work commitments but i have a list of parts to fit now. I ended up going to an ati balancer, id2000's, nismo engine and transmission mounts, hks front mount, hard pipes and i need to figure out the best way to mount the map sensor to the plenum for the vi-pec

It was pretty bloody good deano, took minimal to balance it all and i can pretty safely say it wasnt really needed. I was warned about an oil squirter issue in some engine blocks but i did not have this issue.
