Hey all.

I've done a bit researching but found nothing conclusive.

So here goes.

I have a few things to do to the GTR.

Fuel pump, front pipe, high flow cat, performance panel air filter and lastly turbos.

Now it makes complete sense to retune the car after installing turbos.

But I'm an impatient bastard.

Will I be fine to install all but the turbos and get a tune done when I put the turbos on?

I'm not expecting gains just want to know if I am in the clear, or is the car going to go retard on me and run rich...

Thanks for any input.

well fuel pump won't require a tune as you could put the fuel pump out of a space shuttle on there and it wouldn't affect the tune (unless the old pump was dead).

air filters and front pipe and cat won't really make much of a difference so it should be fine to run them on the current tune. sort of depends on the ecu though and the quality of the tune. you can even run aftermarket turbos on a basic tune as long as you keep the boost down.

You could just get a dyno power run to check that the tune is safe after pump/cat/front pipe. If its not safe, just drive like a granny until you get the turbos+tune done. Agree with mad that it *should* be ok, especially if you keep the boost low, say, 10 psi. Remember the stock turbos can be fragile and can damage the motor when they let go if you're unlucky.

You'll probably notice gains from changing the cat.
