Not Enough Power?

hey guys just wondering i dont know much about skylines but just had it dyno'd and got only 156ktw at the rears on 14psi. it doesnt sound right

The engine mods i have are:

R34 Turbo

xr6 turbo Fuel pump

Front Mount

Turbo Back exhaust

cold air intake

im not sure if its becaause the turbo isnt tuned with the car.

put it on a hub dyno and u be sure to get close to 190rkw

Says you have a 32 so I'm guessing a rb20 that power sounds about right a tune will give you a bit more I'm guessing it's running super rich? 14 psi is max on that turbo I would back it off to 12

no i havent, how much would it cost?

nah its a stock computer

Nistune is around a grand

That's the problem mate, ECU will allow your set up to be tuned to its full potential and not blow the motor,

Nistune like mentioned is about a grand or go the trusty apexi power fc but talk to the person who will tune the car and see what he likes to tune

I think nistune will be the go for you it's great I was making 250 kw with one on my 20 I'm even going to use it to controll my new 25

The tune is the most important part it ties it all together you should get 180 with a tune with some luck with your setup to make 250 you will ner bigger injectors new turbo and a tune. I think many people will back me up on this one ( do it once and do it properly) Spend the cash it makes life slot easier

you should be able to get up around 170 to 180kw (or more) with that turbo at 14psi. sounds like you have some other issues going on there. may be a timing issue, or fuel issue (lack of fuel or too much). i'd start by getting a dyno run on a different dyno (to rule out a low reading dyno) as well as see if they will give you a dyno graph with AFR's on it so you can see how rich it is running.
