Spends alot of money on boost controller. Spend $0 on engine management. You may need to rethink priorities. Anything above 10psi the stock ECU will just go into R&R "Rich and Retard"

Doesn't matter when boost is OVER 9000

On the topic(ish)

Anyone know how to change the display from kPa to kg/cm2?

none of the online manuals show how to do it

im still trying to find the box for mine and check the japanese on the back. im 99% mine is stuck on kg/cm2 but xspeed set it up for me and the car is stripped so i cant test...going for another look now.

but either way it def didnt read kPa. was either Bar or kg/cm2 as when i had it at 16psi it read about 1.10

just found box and realised it was hkpa, therefore 1.10 was spot on. nothing on the back in japanese mentions changing units

So it was the alarm/immobiliser causing the issue.

The wire that id spliced into to power the EBC was the 'ON' wire from the ignition. Unknown to me (as ive recently purchased the car) the alarm/immobiliser was also spliced into that line. So it seems that when the controller was active (higher boost selected rather then bypassed, ie: OFF) the alarm/immobiliser cracked it and turned off the car.

I've found another power source and can happily run 12 psi without a problem.

Thanks to those that offered help and advice.

bit of a revival. but do you need to have the boost line hooked upto the unit ?? or does it work normally without it ?? obviously it wont show the boost pressure. or does it need to see pressure to tell the solenoid what to do ??
