SO I've had these problems on and off for a few months now and i'm sick of it. It's basically costing me so much money in fuel it's not funny.

It first started as 1 coil pack's death and leading to a change. It was fine for a few weeks/months and then it did it again. Then I decided to change the whole lot to YellowJacket coils.

I made a rookie mistake when changing them and ended up killing 2 of them, these were replaced with the brand new coil and one of the old ones.. Ran ok for a while but not optimal as two weren't producing as strong of a spark.

Then again a little bit later.. same problem. I assumed it was the oldest coil (factory one) and replaced that and the other OEM coil for 2 more yellow jackets.

Car ran great for.... ONE NIGHT. ONE BLOODY NIGHT!!!!!! I'm SO F#$%ing sick of it.

Plus it's been chewing double the fuel it normally does while it's sick.

What else could it be? I'm hoping it's not injectors.. Also spark plugs were changed about 3,000kms ago..

so your coil pack keeps shitting itself but your worried that the injector/spark etc might be the cause of this? because injectors have no effect on coils

or is the cylinder not firing and your not sure whats causing it?

as a general rule with electrical problems, i like to check the wiring and connections for the usual shit first.

at first i thought it could be dwell but as far as i know, skyline dont have a set dwell period. they sorta just charge until they fire. can anybody clarify this?

Been going through the same thing pretty much.

I get to around 3k rpm and it just feels flat (not sure about it now since replacing the filter) it would seem like it was limited to 3.5k rpm has a lumpy idle and is lumpy while driving

No smoke coming from exhaust, not running rich

I've replaced:

Coils

Sparkies

AFM

Fuel Filter

I can't see any leaks from the injectors the next thing to do is to check the fuel pump after that i'm lost and will just take it to a mech

Could it be a o2 sensor problem ?

heres a video of how my 33 sounds
