As wide as you can afford the best quality tyres that fit them, how much power you got, only street, street and track?

Im running 245/45 17 dunlops on R34 GTT rims 7.5" on my boat for daily use, good tyres are a must, my 245 Dunlop Direzza Z1s out grip, out brake and out handle my old Nankang 265s by a mile, its also in the offset for fitment, my track rims are 9" wide with a 265 Dunlop Semi, they need at least 3 deg neg on the front and 2 deg neg on the rear to keep within the guards, which is fine for Semislicks at the track but would scrub out the inside of your tyres on the street.

I went 17x9+35 front and rear enkeis for my 33 fitted with 245/40/r17's all round car is lowered to just above legal height. Backs fit fine and could probably be getting into the +20 offset range before worring about rolling/scrubbing, the front however has failed me somewhat. i had to fit 8mm spacers for the rims to clear my brakes (rims are rpf1's, stock gtst brakes) and i get a bit of scrub on the edges if im cornering hard on a bumpy road, however they sit very nicely stance wise. Im hoping either a lower profile tyre or some 235's on the front will resolve this.

Hunting down tyres was a bit of a mission though. i wanted to get 255 or 265's on the rear but to do that the price was getting pretty painful, according to the blokes at the tyre shop the demand for wide 17' tyres is on the way down due to everyone getting big rims so the cost of them is going up, inversely the cost of bigger tyres is coming down and is cheaper then 17's now. If i were in your shoes with the knowledge i have now i would be looking into getting 18x8.5/9 +30 fronts and 18x9.5+30ish rears.

i dont have any good photos showing how they sit, just a couple snapped when i got them.
