I have come to a very well thought threw decision to re home my pride and joy GTR. I searched high and low Australia wide for this amazing example of the famous GTR and I have no doubt it is one of the best if not the best in Tasmania with out sounding anal this car is a must see.

I would like to note this car is an expression on interest only sale at this stage as I am not letting it go until early February and I will only sell for the right price.

The car has had a lot of rubbers, door trims etc replaced in the 2004 rebuild in Japan and feels like a new car, no squeeks or rattles at all.

Having owned a few GTRs through the years this is without a doubt, by far the best build and performing GTR I have had, hence not too fussed if it sells.

The car was originally gunmetal grey before the owner of it then in Japan did a ground up rebuild of the car in 2004. It was resprayed a metallic factory color wine red but with lots of pearl and the engine bay was sprayed a stark white, maybe to show off the engine or to show up leaks and issues a lot easier.

This chap worked at Nissan in Japan and so had access to many new parts for the GTR and is why you'll find a lot of the seals and small plastic parts are like new as well as a lot of engine bay components.

Basically from there he dropped in the new motor and turbos with most of the listed supporting mods, the only mods added in Australia were the injectors, adjustable cam gears and the boost gauge.

A bloke well known in the NDSOC (Nissan Datsun Sports Owner Club) association imported it for himself in 2005 and owned it for a little over a year, taking it to a few show n shines and concourse events.

I have always kept it garaged and drive it on the very rare occasion and only on a clear and dry day.

Fastidiously maintained, never parked at shopping centres or with general cars as it has not one dent.

Oil services have always been done every 5,000kms, quite often less and always with a new filter.

Only 2,500kms ago I changed ALL fluids, gear box, front and rear diffs, engine oil + new oil filter and fuel filter. Also flushed the radiator and refilled with coolant.

While I have owned it I installed kill switches, relocated the battery to the boot and installed a quality custom catch can with braided hosing and speed flow fittings. Completely stripped the hicas and installed a hicas lock bar for improved handling. Installed a 2wd / AWD switch, I also purchased a professionally polished plenum and highly polished engine covers (Looks amazing, all appropriated gaskets and seals were replaced also).

Modification list below:

:: Engine ::

- Brand NEW R33 RB26DETT N1 Engine, only done 50,000kms

- Brand NEW R34 N1 Twin Turbos, same mileage as new engine

- Custom 3" Intercooler Piping

- Custom 3.5" mandrel Exhaust System from turbos to 4.5" rear muffler - Amazingly subdued off boost but sounds great on full boost, very angry and tough. System is quiet easy on the ears as well with zero drone.

- Oil cooler with air guide and remote oil filter for easy replacement

- Twin Apexi Pod Filters

- Apexi Power FC ECU (tuned by Ben @ Racepace VIC on 20psi = 322awkw )

:: Drive Train / Brakes ::

- Hicas totally stipped, NEW hicas lock bar fitted

- Jim Berry Full Monty single plate carbonetic clutch, 3600lbs pressure plate matched to an R31 Fly Wheel, beautiful clutch, never had it slip on me once with current power level and operates almost like a standard clutch in terms of pedal heaviness and drive ability in traffic.

- VSpec 2 Brembo front calipers with Lockheed rotors and pads, standard rear calipers and rotors / pads, pulls up exceptionally well, feels like your eyeballs will pop out and its still got more in it before the ABS even kicks in!

- Teflon braided brake lines

:: Suspension / Bracing / Wheels ::

- Tein Coilovers, adjustable stiffness and dampening

- 11 structural bracing bars:

--- 2 Front & Rear Strut Braces

--- 1 Interior Cabin Brace (per image)

--- 4 Front & Rear Guard Braces (1 under each guard running lengthwise)

--- 1 Brace underneath near rear of engine / front of gearbox

--- 1 Mid trans tunnel Brace connecting either side of the tunnel

--- 2 Rear subframe Braces (1 each side)

- Volk Racing CE28N 17 x 9 Forged Monoblock lightweight Wheels (includes VR Duraluminium wheel nuts and VR valve caps) This combination of stiffness and grip makes for a very flat and stable cornering attitude with great response from the tyres under braking, cornering and acceleration.

- 90% tread on tires all round 255 width

:: Exterior / Interior ::

- Lightweight fibreglass bonnet

- Aerocatch Bonnet Pins (lockable)

- N1 Side Skirts & Vents in front bar

- Momo Race Steering Wheel

- GTR carbon fibre Gear Knob

- Apexi EL2 Mechanical Boost Gauge

- Nismo 320kmph Speedometer

- Kenwood CD / MP3 head unit with what looks like standard speakers front & back - Fire extinguisher mounted to rear cabin brace

- Original Nissan GTR floor mats front & back with the original flare case in the front passengers foot well

- Original Nissan GTR front & rear seats in excellent, nearly as new condition - bolsters still all firm & solid, top of rear seats are not faded like nearly all other R32s are.

- All dash & trim in excellent condition with all accessories, gauges & lights fully functional - heater & aircon work as good as the day it rolled off the factory floor.

This car would suit even the fussiest buyer, this GTR is almost faultless.

Nil oil leaks.

6mths Tasmanian Registration just paid for.

Car is currently in storage but I can arrange viewing of this car by appointment to seriously interested people.

Absolutely no time wasters, dreamers or joy riders.

Will help with interstate transport if needed.

$26,500 ono

What a beautiful car; I'd be heartbroken to let something like this go...

I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding it a home.

Thanks for the comments guy, it will be a very very sad sale but sometimes something has to give unfortunately. I just hope it gets respected and treated right, like it has been all its life so a quality and well maintained GTR can still be sourced in years to come.

Price drop.. $25,500.. Motivated seller.. Amazing GTR through out and had the money spent in the right areas !! Can arrange a HD video of the car inside and out for interested parties.. !!

    • Thanks again, really helpful chap from alpha omega wanted to speak to me, little concerned if this is meant to he aero alloy/ airospace quality and car sitting on drive has caused this.  Airplane are subject to much more changing temp and conditions than road salts! My caliper, many other components much older have surface rust but never eating part of the metal   Had I not seen it , could have been a disaster! specifically on rear part of bracket coming off like biscuit will update on what they say, helpful people so far
    • January or Feb is it booked in for turbo fitment?
    • The MX5 has had some annoying rattles in both front doors over bumps So I installed fancy pants door bushings, which stopped all of the rattles with the windows up, but........with the windows down there was still rattles, so after some googling,  and a chat with MX5 Mania, I got some new door to glass weather seals, all the rattles, windows up, or down, are gone now Shout out to MX5 Mania, the weather seals were on sale, and when I head to Dural to pick the up they even fitted them for me for free I did see a "really" nice Blue NA sitting out front   and this Black NC PRHT that looked like it has sat in the sun for its whole life and never had a wash, the clear coat was non-existent, an it looked horrible, really horrible, but, it had a nice turbo kit with over 200kw, the thing went like a cut snake, bagging the rears through the gears and dosing like a champ 😍 But, as I've always stated, I am keeping my NC na, I'm happy with the current power the car makes In other news: MX5 Mania do a drive in drive out turbo kit, the only minor additional part recommended for boosting my car, as it sits now, is a oil cooler, and that bonnet vents are definitely required for track use Aftermarket version look a bit to "racecar" spec I wonder how Focus RS bonnet vents would look?????
    • Paint is only structural when applied to the outside of Chinese and Indian cars. Otherwise it should never be present between mechanical joints that were intended to be metal to metal. Pain slips, slides, cracks, compresses, and add thickness that wasn't intended to be there. It comes firmly under the category of "just no".
    • appreciated it thanks   There are threads on the adaptor. I rear re anodising but didn’t know it will reduce strength   re mating services needing to be flat/ not painted, why would that be? I am devastated as car been off for a year, fixed power steering then installed bm57 master cylinder and just before driving it this came up. So annoyed   worried and afraid to drive it, no fun caliper coming off
