Hi all,

I'm needing to replace the catback exhaust on my R33GTSt with a full turboback setup and am unsure of whether to go for a Jap bolt on setup or get an exhaust shop to make one up for me.

Has anyone else done this recently? Recommendations of exhaust shops around Canberra? Any thoughts on the Jap vs custom exhaust issue?

At the moment I'm leaning towards a Trust Power Extreme II (80mm) fron Nengun, and getting a 3" front/dump pipe and highflow CAT from BATMBL on this site.

(Maybe someone recommends another Jap exhaust over the Trust?)

$570 + $320 shipping for the exhaust = $890

$190 CAT + $250 front/dump = $440

Total = $1330

My car is fairly low too (current thing seems to be custom made and hangs down and scrapes a lot) and I'm thinking that I'm guarenteed to get a nice tight neat fit with a Jap prefab thing.

Cheers,

John

my jap 3.5 inch was too low - wasn't fitted up all that well - I changed it to a 3 inch with a magna flow 3 inch cat (worth $450), along with 2 x 3 inch straight through mufflers. Phillip Exhaust did the work. email me at [email protected] and I will discuss further with you inc price / pros&cons.
