You just made it alot harder, buy i'll try and find you one; do you want to import it or it be in Australia already, and how much do you wanna spend?

click on my signature you'll see the EXACT / IDEAL specs I am looking for. Hence me having difficulty.

I'll pay what the car is worth. Me and you both know what they are worth realistically these days. All I want is a nice clean example that hasnt gone toe-to-toe with a wall or a truck, and hasn't been riced so hard it needs chopsticks as a mod to top it off.

Just a nice, clean, example of a R34 GTT Coupe Manual ... I am trying not to be fussy on colour but I'd be so happy if I found one in silver with a sunroof (ok so I am pushing it ... oh well )

The pricers of r34 will drop with in a year, increase in import approv. for r34 and plus the fact that overtime cars drop in price no matter wat, the biggest killer i think will be importing cost which as other people said are rated at like $5,000 as more people beginning to import the r34 the price should drop and reducing the price.

At the moment Demand is High and Supply is very low, that is why the price is soo high, untill large amounts of importing places get aprrov for importing r34 etc pricers will stay high

I'm with DarkCoupe here 110% - MANUAL R34 2 DOOR, TURBO. When ppl say R34 GT-T, 99/100 they will be talking about a 2 door... but now that it's clear, i say again, you will have to be very patient to find a LOCAL, 2 door manual for under $35K, and sometimes $36K.

And cell to clear up the J-Spec listed car, The only thing you have to add to the $28.9K price is Rego (Vic, $520) + Stamp duty ($600) + Tyres (they are only 17inch rims, so you can get some good Falkens, for example, for about $160 a tyre, so that's another $640) = $1780 plus the $28.9K landed and compiled. That's it. Service fee ($1000), import duty, buyers fee, GST, shipping is ALL included in the $28.9K - It's all written down on that link.

So you are looking at roughly $30.6k on the road, roughly.

cheers.

13_devil is right.. as the demand builds the compliance costs will drop accordingly. At the moment i think its the lack of available plates that is making it difficult to be a natural market.

Also, with the new scheme, don't see how the demand is every going to rise on less popular vehicles.. which means the compliance costs stay high.. and of course this reduces the attractiveness == endless loop :D

see I'm not convinced that compliance costs are going to come down in the near future (say 12 months). They guys who have the plates had to pay a fortune to get set up and have less plates than previously. It was deliberately designed by DOTARS to be more expensive and difficult and they've suceeded....

there was a guy selling his red gtt manual with a fair bit of mods on here a few months ago for 33k ono, there was also a guy selling his gtt manual on nissan silvia for 31K, theres a manual gtt in the vic trading post selling for 34 ono. i read in economics class that the australian govt would drop trariffs on imported cars from 25% to i think 15% in 2005(some one tell me if im wrong here), not sure on the certainty of it but this would mean a 35K$ car would cost a fair bit less. i also want a r34 gtt manual by febuary next year(ill be rating 4) but rite now i wont pay more then 35K for a nice stocker, low kms but im pretty sure i can pik one up now for 31-33 judging by previous private sale ads, if i cant then i will just go for a s15. you forget that ok maybe the r34 is the least common skyline, but u also forget how hard it is to sell skylines these days, and i think its safe to say that mostly skyline/nissan enthusiasts are interested in r34s but not all of them will buy one.

I totally agree with everything redline2003 said.

In my case, if I find my R34, I'll be keepin it for a long while. I guess in a way that's why I am being a bit picky *understandably*

But agreed, I wouldn't pay more than 35k for a low kay manual coupe stocker, and if you are expecting 5 grand more, personally ... I think you're dreamin' :(

  • 2 weeks later...
