Thanks n15m0. Looks like it'll be Pirelli PZeros in a 225/40R19 and 245/40R19 combination then.

If you car has traction control, front tyres will need to maintain the same diameter as the rear. Or the T/C may playup

I'm running 255/40/20 & 295/35/20 which are 712mm & 714mm in dia respectivly.

The tyres you have picked are 663mm & 679mm in dia which maybe enough to freak out the T/C.

I think it will be fine, since the stock V35 coupe 18s run 245/45 and 225/45 from factory and doesn't cause any problems with the TC or VDC.

Also, I am a bit confused by your sig. how did you measure Front Wheel KiloWatts in 2 Rear wheel drive cars?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I had my front and rear wheels off on the weekend and the coupe 18s are the same size front and rear (18x8JJ +30) so I still don't know why they are stamped 'front' and 'rear'. I took some pics if anyone wants to see it.

The only thing I can think is the run a staggered tyre size and it might help prevent a dodgy mechanic getting them mixed up. But you think it would be easier to just check the tyres..

There seems to be some confusion around the stock OEM tyre size for our Coupe.

Can anyone clarify what the OEM tyre specs are for 17"? Currently mine are 235/45R17 all round.

Sonicii - my Coupe OEM 18's are both 8" too. I think the front / rear stamped on them is just so fitters know where to put them. If they can't see the tyre sizes I'm not sure how they'll see the front / rear cast into the rear of the wheel

Marshan - I'm pretty sure the OEM 17's are 225/50 front & 235/50 rear - that's the sizes on the OEM 17" alloys I bought, still with Japanese tyres fitted.

same width all round shouldnt cause a problem at all. if anything, youll get improved response in corners - less understeer

OEM tyre pec should be on the tyre label on your drivers door B pillar just above the latch
