Whats the problem with the auto?

They are just as strong as the manuals, and with a bit of work will always get you down the 1/4 quicker than a manual. I admit the standard autos (even with mods) they are not the best for serious track work, but if manuals are so bad, why have the F1 teams oll gone this way?

The other advantage is that with a properly matched torque converter you can install the biggest lagy turbo (with huge RWKW) and still come on boost quickly.

I dont have any objection to a manual, but I dont understand the rush many people are in to change from the auto.

Any of you guys after side skirts for the R32 4 Door? I've got a pair in good condition primed already and will paint it to gun metal grey if desired. They fit the coupe as well but they look much better on the sedan. I'm looking at around $150 for the pair. PM Me.

Here's mine.

I have the tiptronic auto and I've been out to the track with it. It's great fun and I get the bonus of ease of driving in traffic which in Sydney sucks arse.

My lights are different to the 2 doors as well but I think they are actually better.

i spose the auto would work a bit better with higher static compression & 1/2 a litre more capacity than it would on my little RB20. I guess it comes down to personal choice. I'm an ex country lad who has only ever owned manuals. one day it might change

how much are those impul 4drs worth these days?

if only i could get a 33 4 door gtr................anyone sellin one

That would be nice... They sell for a mint on the extremely rare occassion that they're found by an Aussie importer.

Even better would be an R32 GTB-4 - but only 5 were made AFAIK. They looked just like R324D's car, but with the fat guards on the front AND back, as well as the RB26DETT, of course. Hell, I'd even settle for the Autech R-32 with the atmo RB26DE (still had individual throttle bodies, etc.) Mmmmmmmmm.

BTW, R324D, I'm sure I saw your car a few years back waiting to turn right (North) onto Silverwater Rd a few years back. I 'd just turned left 'cos I was on the way to AutoSalon (maybe two years ago?) and spotted your car wating at the intersection, then I did a double-take when I realised it was a Sedan/4-door/coupe-with-practicality/(insert bodystyle description of choice)...

Nnnniiiiiiiiiicccccceeeee! :(
