StevenCJR31
Howdy, i have a S3 auto R31 sedan (RB30E) for which ive bought a complete VLT setup, ie exhaust manifold, T3 turbo/lines ,S3 NISTUNE ecu, VLT injectors etc, i got it knowing there was a fair bit of freeplay in the turbo shaft, im asking opinions on the following two options . . . #1 get the T3 reconditioned with new bearings (approx cost?) . . .#2 i have a reconditioned VG30DET turbo sitting there not being used BUT the position of the oil/water feed/return lines are in the wrong place, can the turbo be "clocked"(is it even possible?)or is it not worth the effort? any constructive comments welcome Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/386486-t3-turbo-or/ Share on other sites

SargeRX8
Don't need to take the bolts out unless its seized. Loosen the front and rear housing then have someone hold them while you rotate the core. sweefu
I would be interested in buying the VG30 unit if you don't end up using it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/386486-t3-turbo-or/#findComment-6165092 Share on other sites
