Got a C210 coupe for my birthday, from my mother-in-law of all people! It's green(factory) and has been in the family since brand new. Garaged its whole life. And only has two very small rust spots in the rear guards and nowhere else. Black interior, and entirely stock. Even has straight bumpers! the only mod I have found has been a mordern head unit and speakers. Brand new carpets, spark plugs, points, air cleaner, clutch slave and brakes(shoes, pads, discs, rotors and master cylinder)Pics will be up as soon as I'm home from Christmas.

You lucky man!

I'm buying myself a christmas present on Tuesday

1980 C211 2000GT-EX Coupe.

I'm very excited haha

Ricky over here has number 9XX of KMGC210 coupes.

Really early one you have.

Keen for Pics!

The c210 dry spell has been broken in a big way, two coupes raining down on us. Let me get wet ! Look forward to seeing pages of 210 pics,

I "ll post one of mine once i get the front air dam fitted, that arrived from japan about two weeks ago.

its a basic model, P/s, and A/c is all it has. manual mirrors, and manual windows. Which, I might add are the smoothest winding regulators I have ever seen!

its the c2 option Jason ..you have the top of the range model for the Australian del. model

the c1 option came with air con ..only

Then the base model

had the am Radio only...no perks ...

cheers

Those badges! So unfaded and orange!

and good pickup on rear wiper, mine doesn't have one :(

What luxury specs?

hi Socrates..

your c211, check if it has drum brakes. some did come with rear drum brakes

and some did not have a rear wiper too..

a friend of mine here has the same as yours c211 no rear wiper and rear drums

not discs..

Cheers

    • I hope one day I can do it like you. Your engine looks great.
    • If there's nothing else I can do I'll probably do something like that Someone on the internet said that ca20s and ca18 engine blocks are the same and that you can use a ca20 engine block and put ca18det parts to make a ca20det Do you think this is possible or will it damage the engine?
    • Yeah, I did some research and found out that some things are different.
    • Makes sense, thanks! Consider me very impressed. And I very much appreciate the effort in documentating all of it. You'd be surprised, or maybe not, how many people this reaches who search for things online. Anyways, I shall continue to read all of it, understand maybe a quarter, and hope that some of it sticks if I ever end up in a situation where it's relevant
    • 'Did' work on them is more accurate ~ on the R31 Skyline forum, you can spot me as 'Solder'... I've written quite a bit about the 4R01 boxes there, and I ended up reverse-engineering the older TCU type operations, so we could fudge a custom TCU to pull off other tricks...and like all things, when you do it a lot, see the failure patterns, have to find parts etc etc, your head ends up filled with whys and wherefores... there was a reason Nissan went with these in more than 60models over 16+ years... all in all, the JR401E based design is an interesting study, as Nissan changed things over the years in a never ending battle against them lunching on themselves <grin>...by the time the RE4R01A rev.C came out (often referred to as RE4R01B), they'd more or less perfected the design...
