Dead Transfer Case Rs4S

Hey guys,

Couple of questions seeking some advice, apparently I have a stuffed Transfer case not 100% but my bets on its goneski, Thinking of converting it from manual 4wd to manual RWD... what is involved? I read a tutorial about how to turn them into rwd is it just a matter of removing front driveshafts and pulling the fuse?

Also what are my chances of getting a transfer case for the car? does any other model apart from the RS4S for fit?

my thoughts were RB25 33 box and tailshaft etc and removing the front driveshafts?

any help on this would be fantastic

GTR box & transfer will fit.

how did you come to the conclusion that the xfer case is stuffed? what are the symptoms.

He already has an R33 GTR box in it.

Parts should be pretty straightforward once you know what (if anything and I am doubtful) you have damaged.

2WD is easy, remove front driveshaft.

GTR transfer case is stronger than Stagea one - what's wrong with yours? They are fixable.

Well Im going on what a Mech said, basically it whine's like the ghost busters siren while driving forward, gearbox still works fine, although not driving it atm, I went origionally looking for a dead gbox or engine mount as my gbox shifts laterally on hard lock when in reverse car hasnt moved since this started to happen, currently in garage sittin till its fixed. In saying that Ive checked all the mounts they look ok but I know engine mount could potentially move enough to twist it, putting stress on the transfer creating the problem?

any more thoughts
