Fitting 20 Inch Rims

I am going to buy 20 inch rims of a friend but when we fitted them they hit the front struts, the back fitted fine, wondering what people do to make them fit, I have a r34 25gt four door.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks

8.5 inch wide, It's multi stud on a ford 114.5 x 5 (says the seller) tyres are 225s wide with 35 profile,

35 profile refers to the tyre wall.

without offsets we can't help, but have to agree with above. I had 19's on my R33 for a while, and they were big enough, went down to 18's, much better size

o.k no worries I'll find the out offset off him, I was going to get 18s but I am getting these at a cheap price, I don't necessarily think bigger is better either but these have a nice dish and a simplistic design so I though that 20s would be the go.

Big rims that don't fit are not cheap or a bargain, get smaller rims with a good offset and put some good tyres on them, I wouldn't go bigger than 18".

Have you priced replacement tyres for the 20", you should be able to get quality 17" or 18" tyres for the same price as rubbish 20".
