Hello everyone.

Just a quick question. I have just fitted a second hand RB25DET to my lads R33 Skyline. Nothing else was changed only the block so we retained the original turbo, throttle body ect that was fitted to my lads car originally.

The car has been running fine for a couple of months but all of a sudden it has decided to act like it has a turbo timer fitted.

If you turn the car off and remove the keys it will continue to run for about two minutes before it turns itself off..

It does not do this all the time, maybe 2 out of every 6 drives..

The car is fitted with a 40psi E boost controller, but the car does not have a turbo timer so I am confused as why this is happening. (Unless it has a built in factory one)

When this happens the car can not be locked with the remote either, so you can not just walk away and leave it.

My lad has had the car for about 18 months and this problem has never happened before..

Im just wondering if maybe a ignition relay is sticking and when the power to the relay is turned off it does not release keeping power to the ignition for a while...Could this be right?

If so where do I locate this dreaded relay?

I have no idea..So any help would be most appreciated.

I have a whole R33 donor vehicle (But no immobilizer key) so any relays ect will be easy to change over..

Cheers!

def sounds like relay prob.....not sure on your model but on gtr's there is a plastic fuse box cover in the engine bay and its labeled with the relays.....sounds like there may be too much amps getting pulled through the relay(this usually over powers the spring in the relay and keeps it on)
