Yesterday evening I had my glovebox out and a lot of trim as I removing some old gauges and replacing them with new wiring and gauges, and in the process noticed that only had 2 screws holding in my ECU. As I am still discovering things about the car, my curiosity obviously kicked in and I took it down off the side of the interior of the car and had a look. A couple of the screws holding the lid on were stripped out a bit, so I took the top off and had a look. I don't know exactly what a stock rb20det ECU looks like inside, but I figured some of you guys here would, so here are some pics, what do you guys think? Stock? Modified in some way? The car performs roughly what I would expect a stock GTST to perform like.

Cheers

looks stock to me. that daughter board connected by a ribbon cable is stock.

the chip labled, "R32 F-TYPE", is the rom chip that gets changed when the ecu is chipped. it is a little hard to tell with your pics but as mentioned above, if it has been chipped there will be a socket soldered to the board underneath that chip, and the 28pin chip will be plugged into that. When nistune is installed it is plugged into that socket replacing the rom chip.
