I like the way you think!

Wish that was true and a skyline was up the front... Clearly the 4cyl (lighter) cars have a bit of an edge over the cars that men drive...

If you want to have a go at pro I will gladly change your tyres for you

Hi Paul,

I couldn't find anywhere to put this, Hopefully you will read this.

I have one of your #1 4x4 Controllers in my car, Other than the GPS function to plot corners on the track, What are the differences between the new #2 controller and the older #1 unit I have? Am I going to notice the difference between the two?

Thanks.

Finally got my story finished - as part of Mark Berry's crew this year with my ATTESA controllers etc. I have put it up on my website www.timeattacktalk.com

I will hopefully get the tech one written this week with data logging results etc. (still catching up on sleep :) )

The 4WD Controller II is a freshen up of the version I, some of the parts in the version I were no longer available so I did a redesign. The V2 has a better processor and optimised internal algorithms and the output is more accurate. Plus the GPS stuff. Its hard to say if you would notice the difference, it would depend on the rest of the car to some degree and the driver. The V1 controller does a pretty good job, the Version 2 is a refinement.

The Controller in Mark's 34GTR is a whole other story. For that car I had to design the complete ATTESA system from scratch. Mark had removed all the Nissan factory stuff, computers, sensors etc. In that car I have:

1. Front Lateral G

2. Front Longitudinal G

3. Front Gyro Z axis

4. Rear Lateral G

5. Rear Longitudinal G

6. Steering Angle

7. Throttle Position

8. Brake Pedal State

9. Front drive axle speed

10. Rear drive axle speed

The controller then takes all these inputs, does a pile of signal processing and outputs the control signal to the hydraulic system. I also added true linear output control of the valve for smooth operation (not using a simple PWM control signal).

Hey paul what is the difference between the likes of the controller being touted by Tarzan Yamata and yours, Is one better than the other r do they do the same or different things.

Now I have a working g sesnor in the car I am about ready to fit a controller.

Yes if you dont mind starting a thread I got a few Q's as well. Might get a bit off topic here.

V8 taxis 60 bux for a day ticket for 2 people. Lots of raceing lots of shit in the pits

Wtac 100 bux for a day ticket not much racing lots of shit in the pits

Can someone here pass on the above info to the organisers please

I can't decide which I prefer bogans in utes or the flat cap brigade. All I know is the cheaper one is better run

I was quite surprised at how well the "2 days for $65" worked at the v8's this weekend.

Great value if you go for both days (as I did) but I didn't think many people would go on the Sunday for $65. To my surprise it was way more busy today than Saturday (took me 1.5hrs to get out of the carpark) so I guess it all worked out.

You are right about WTAC having almost zero on track but lots of pits entertainment too. The Pro class really needs some changes to the format to get more cars out on track each session.

    • GTSboy, thank you again. i’ve been reading all the other SAU RB25 vacuum line threads and you have the utmost patience for people asking “where do my vacuum lines go”. it’s appreciated. i did also enlist a few other RB guys local to me.  i would like to run 5 to 4. turbo pressure side to wastegate actuator. i would like to run 3 to 1. power steering air valve line to intercooler outlet. (this is how it was previously). i was told 2 is the bleed port for the boost solenoid - which i’m not running - so should be capped.   anyone see any problems with that?
    • So yes. All of them. Something like 98% of all fuel in the USA has 10% ethanol: https://afdc.energy.gov/fuels/ethanol-fuel-basics It's labelled as like, AKI, 87, 91, 93 with an E10 or E5 or E15 label on the pump. At a certain point, it's not just "E10" instead of 91. It is 91, 95, 98, and all of them have 10% Ethanol in them. You can also get E85 and E30 which is why you do see some people rolling around with E30 tunes in them.
    • Thanks for the response. This is an 04 EP3 Type R. JDM spec. Fairly certain they're just basic BC racing coils. I do plan to keep as the ride quality on stock I've been told is pretty meh given Sydney roads. If I were to go down that avenue, does NSW require them to be a certain spec (close to original) etc?
    • Should have asked what is the car?
    • I've had two super conflicting experiences with blue slips. My 30 year old E39 waltzed through with no issues but my brother in law was knocked back on 12 y/o 3 series due to wiper blades and some cracking in a control arm bush.  What kind of coil overs? Do you want to keep them after?  If it was me I'd get some dirt cheap shocks and springs from eBay or scumtree. Not ideal but will get you over the line and might even be less than $1k.
