Bad Gearbox Leak

hey i got a r31 with a rb26 motor and a rb25 gearbox. After driving today in the heat for more then an hour and only really giving it a hit twice i got home parked the car and came back out and the gearbox was pissing out liquid, is my box gone? Could it be something smaller? Liquid was seeping from the front of the box

The only thing i noticed when driving in hot weather is that when accelerating between gear changes the car sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

Check the engine oil level - your rear main seal could be gone (since you mentioned it was leaking from the front of the box).

Checked the radiator this morning and it was bone dry so i think i split a hose again somewhere near the back of the engine

i had my clutch replaced when i bought my car and at the same time they replaced the rear main seal aswell.

about 2 months later i was in a hurry and WOT'd the car for a while (on a hot day). when i got back home everything was fine, car ran ok. next day got home from work and noticed oil where my car was sitting. turned out the rear main engine seal was put in backwards and produced a leak under sustained WOT. took the car back, they fixed it and never had a problem since. that was 3 years ago
