sudden power gain on rb20det at 3psi??

hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has this same issue. usually for the first 15 mins of driving the car kinda feel a little slugish but when accelerating and the car gets to 3 psi it feels like a sudden hit of power. like someone has had the handbrake on an d just released it... seems like maybe a cylinder is kicking in but it idles and runs fine so i dont think the cylinder is having any issues, just feels that way????

It will be going from closed loop operation where it'll be putting in extra fuel and playing with teh timing as the car is running in cold mode and then switching to open loop with load where maybe the computer isn't adding extra fuel and messing with the timing. maybe....

tottaly diffrent car, but when we first go our c200k, the car seemed to run ok, but whenever we got to a hill or somethin it was like tryin to pull 1000kg with 3hp.... so we got it checked out n the computer ended up havin 25 errors

got it back n the car ran muched better, but it still felt kinda powerless, after a few hrs the engine warning lamp came up agian, so we had to get it checked out agian n this time they keept it for more than a few hrs n had a good look n found more computer errors n a hole in the super charger piping, took 6 days to fix.

so u never know just get ur computer checked out.

Mine does the same when its cold and its fine when its warm. It feels the same as when I didn't set the tps up properly a while ago. I might try setting it up again and see what happens. At least it not only my car though.

Yeah, my car is 1987 and I describe it exactly the same way as you. As in it feels like the handbrake is on a bit and then it all of a sudden it breaks free.

Like you it only ever happens when the car is cold in which case I am putting around like miss daisy anyway so I have never been too fussed about it as I beleive a lot of guys on here have the same phenomonem.

Yep same here with silver top RB20det when cold,only takes a little bit to get warm and all is ok.
