Recommendations - Wheel Recondition / Repair

Hey was wanting to know of any decent places in melb to fix gutter rash preferably s.e melb?

Annoyingly one of my wheels decided to have an argument with a kerb (p.s I hate southland and their narrow ramps in the parking lot near the cinema area)

Would people have a rough idea on how much it might cost? I figure whats going to hurt the most is painting the wheel as its a chromium black (shadow chrome? black chrome?)

in QLD approx cost for reconditioning those factory coupe wheels are around $200 per wheel. And yes you are right, majority of the cost is in the paint.

I've had gutter rash fixed and a wheel re-painted at Advanced Alloys in Moorabbin. Set me back $140 but that was a couple of years ago at least. No peeling or flaking so I was happy with the job they did and the colour match was great too. A couple of other places told me they could not guarantee the colour match so would need to repaint all 4 wheels (sounded like a rip-off to me considering the wheel was hyper silver), which was not an option for me.

I've read that some people haven't been too happy with the work of Advanced Alloys but in my experience they did a good job. Good luck
