Would probably wanna go a bigger set of turbos as well depending on what power your chasing

700cc injectors will tale u up to around the 360-400rwkw mark depending on who tunes it

Some people like to throw in some mild cams as well though some would say stock are fine

Probs want at least 3 1/2 inch exhaust as well

Thanks for the advise guys. From what people are saying, I might just leave the standard injectors and AFM's and get it tuned at 16-19psi. And just see what I get. The injectors have been Sonic cleaned, flowed & tested with new caps, so they would atleast be in good healthy condition. And the AFM's have been properly cleaned aswell.

Yep, good plan. If the injectors hadnt already been cleaned then i'd suggest replace them and dont bother with the FPR. When you do upgrade the injectors you wont need the FPR anymore, but since you're pushing the stockers to their limit, it will be useful.

Re: cam gears, sounds like you can include them now since the injectors and afms are out of the picture :thumbsup: They're not essential of course, but if you were to add them later you'll need to pay for another tune.

get bigger injectors incase you want to increase your power down the track, saves you doing it again.

Cam gears, waste of time as a lot of tuners dont bother playing with it. Just put in a set of Tomei Type B Poncams 260/260 9.15mm lift. :)

Yea still deceding. I wanted to see how these standard injectors go, since they've been all cleaned & reflowed. and I'm after 300rwkw. wont want to keep chasing more.

Yea I heard Cam gears are a bit overkill, unless your getting serious about your car. But each to their own.

Re: FPR - no, other way around. The FPR can be used to raise the pressure in the fuel rail, so the injectors flow a bit more. Its a hack, but if you only need a little more flow, its economical. If you getting bigger injectors there's no need for the extra flow from bumping up the pressure, as they will have enough flow already.

On RB26s many people have had good results using adjustable cam gears. The argument to avoid them because the tuner may not touch them, should be an arguement to get a better tuner, rather than to avoid the gears! For Cost/benefit, most setups will find cam gears a far better alternative than aftermarket cams. Anyways, they're certainly not required.

Cams gears on a RB26 are the best value modification short of upping the boost, which is free.

I no my tuner would pull the covers off and change em, because he no's he will get a better result by doing it. I've got a FPR on my car, rail pressure bumped up alil bit, and I make 312 kw easy, factory afms, and injectors. Don't listen to all this bullshit about changing injectors now, it won't make any diffrence.

If u are going for more power, than change the injectors, your Gunna have to get it retuned to make the more power anyway, don't waste ya money.

Get it tuned as it is. Put some cam gears on and be done with it. It will take u a lil while to get over the 300kw

Thanks Deano, Im not after more than really 300rwkw, so I like the what you said. Power FC, Boost control kit, Nismo fuel pump, Nismo FPR, cam gears, and a tune on 16-18psi. See how I go hitting 300rwkw!! :)

Hopefully on my freshly run in N1 spec motor with the N1 turbo's i'll get close to my 300rwkw on 17 psi or so.

Hi guys, just a quick update, and just need some advise before I go spend more money lol... A background on the car.

I bought the car with a fully rebuilt motor to N1 specs. Has 2000km on it. The turbo's are the R32 GTR ones that have been profesionally stripped out, rebuilt with Steel wheels & internals to all N1 specs. So I guess they are New N1 turbo's. Car just has a 3'' from the turbo's, de-cat pipe and then 3.5'' to the back. HKS Pods. My power goal is 300rwkw, idealy 300-320rwkw but no more. That's enough for me on a street only car. Iv'e just gone out and bought all this brand new:

Apexi power FC & Hand controller

Apexi boost control kit

Nismo fuel pump

HKS Cam gears & HKS belt

My main question is, will these parts with 16-19psi on my motor; get me 300rwkw or do I need to upgrade the AFM's aswell?? I was looking into buying the Nismo AFM's, but thats another $900. Am I better to keep that money or go out and buy them now. Keeping in mind my goal is 300-320rwkw and won't be looking for more power in the future. Ive already spent a heep on money on those other bits, just want to know if I need to get these AFM's aswell for my goal.

You will not need afms's youll make 300 with the factory ones.

OP, your rebuild N1 turbos will be old R32/33 tech, so they wont spool as well as R34 N1's.

I'd also swap out the decat for a 3.5in metal matrix cat. It will be far better for the environment, the colour/cleanliness of your rear bar, and your wallet if you get caught ;)

Yea I realize there just rebuilt R32 turbo's. Im not sure apart from rebuilding it with steel internals, if they high flowed or put other's housing's in it. I'll have to find out. But I think they did it all properly as they specialize in rebuilding and high flowing turbo's. But I can't afford a new set of turbo's and these should be fine for 300rwkw.

You must change the fuel pump.

It is cheap insurance really, everything else you keep talking about isn't required - but the fuel pump definitely is. It is just a ridiculous gamble for a $400 part.

If you find out it's now flowing enough 5 months later, when the engine pings and destroys itself - you'll wish you'd changed it.
