2004 Ba Xr6 Turbo (Vic)

Recommended Posts

2004 BA XR6 Turbo Manual Sedan.

Up For sale is my 2004 Xr6 Turbo manual sedan I have owned it for 2 years and am the second owner. The car has been serviced regularly and has just had a major service. I have modified the car very lightly and have never had any problems with it besides a starter motor (that has just been replaced). I'm selling the car as I just purchased a house with my partner and would like to spend the repayment money elsewhere.

I have recently fitted 2 new tyres, a heavy duty starter motor, new brake pads and a brand new battery, I have also had the tinting replaced and a Ford factory towbar fitted (although I have never towed with it).

The car has been debadged at the rear with only the Ford logo remaining in the center of the boot (I have a set of original badges I purchased from Ford that will be included with the car if you wish to put them back on).

The car will be sold with a RWC and the remaining rego approx 10months, I will also have the car professionally detailed before it is picked up. I also have a spare turbo manifold that came with the new turbo that will be included.

PLEASE NOTE: The car is under finance and I will require payment to clear before I can hand over the keys.

Modifications:

* X-Force Twin Tip Exhaust (cat back)

* K&N Flat Panel filter and modified air box

* BA Series II Typhoon turbo (with the larger wastgate)

* Walbro 255lt Fuel Pump

* Exedy Heavy Duty Clutch

* Lightened Flywheel

* Lowered springs and aftermarket struts

* 19" G-Max wheels (some gutter rash)

* DBA slotted and cross-drilled rotors (front only)

* Polk Momo Speakers connected to the stock headunit (I also have all the wiring fitted and a amp in the boot all you require is a headunit, there is currently a headunit fitted to the car however it is not the best and isn't secured correctly I will take it out before sale or leave it in whatever suits the buyer it is included with the car either way.).

The only two negatves with the car are a slight shopping trolley dent in the front drivers door (barely noticeable) and some slight damage to the front bar which is underneath and also not very noticeable.

I will put some more photos up shortly.

Car is located in Ferntree Gully Vic.

Please call Andrew on 0406004135 if you have any questions or would like to view the car.

Feel free to call or message if you want to mae an offer needs to be sold ASAP

For those that asked via pm it was dynod at 223kW atw and is running the police tune (my brother is a mechanic at Ford so he flashed/updated the computer for me). Also the typhoon turbo came off a car that had done 40000km I have put roughly another 10000km on it since then.

Took it to the mechanics for a service yesterday and to see what it would need for roadworthy. Now has new plugs and oil. For a rwc it needs wipers replaced, new parkers cos it has red ones fitted, a number plate globe replaced and that's it.. ill get it all done before it's sold..it also now has a cracked front fog light lense (I'm just waiting till next pay so I can order a replacement). Also comes with 2 amps and an extra stocky wheel (so 2 including the spare). Also I have all the stock speakers if the buyer wants them.

NOW ACCEPTING OFFERS AS I NEED IT GONE MY HOUSE HAS ALMOST FINISHED BEING BUILT AND I'VE FOUND A NEW DAILY I WISH TO BUY.

    • Harness update time have had great fun and learnt so much already so far with this project. I started off making both the ignition and injector sub harnesses in the hope any mistakes i made here aren't as hard to undo and learn from as the main harness.  A cool comparison of the old harness using presumably TXL wire and the new which is using Tezel. Also opted to use DTM plugs to keep the whole setup as neat and tidy as possible and tucked the wiring under the coil bracket to try and keep it all from sticking out too much. Although the injector harness, I'm not overly happy with as I'm still using the rubber boots that are supplied with the type of plugs it just looks ugly and sticks out like a sore thumb with the white identifiers so a slight redesign may be done.   Then it was main harness time and most importantly trying to route it nice and away from the heat it will use the OEM heater hose routing which is no longer present to keep the harness up high and secure. it's amazing how much smaller this harness is able to be compared to the old one. plugged everything into the emtron and with the help of the tuner again attempted to start it up and instantly fired up and running smoothly on all 6 which was a big shock to myself. So still some routing and adjusting to be done for the final fit up and installing a knock sensor harness plug which is in the post all has gone surprisingly well.     The old harness for shits and giggles.
    • They do that at random every now and then, with almost no detectable cause. Mine has done it a couple of times (over 25 years!!). Never worked out why.
    • I don't post on here and have been lurking for some time now. Many of the topics have helped me out more times than i can count. I was racing yesterday (11/9) and blew a front right CV shaft. I have spares so I popped a new one in. A thread i read previously said to check the engine mounts if you blow a front CV. Upon inspection, the front right mount was completely separated from the upper plate. This discovery saved me time and money, because i would have blown another CV if i went back out. Just wanted to thank you guys and wish everyone luck with with their builds. (Now if we could only come up with a solution for my power steering belt flying off after hitting the rev limiter, lol)
    • Either way he still need those style of spacer to go into the manifold because the photo he currently has is not going to work
