Hi mate,

Evo 8 block is a better base to work on than Evo 7 if we are chasing big power.

It's because the 8 has upgraded rods than 6.5 and 7.

Just let me know if you're keen to buy the car, few guys are trying to gather up some cash to get the car.

But no one has full cash ready to go as yet.

Cheers

and how many kms has the evo 8 engine done and car done...?

What are you planing to buy??

A small car that I can share with the mrs.

Maybe SLK, Z4, Boxster, Cayman.

Will be much slower than the evo, but at least I keep her happy

Of course, the WHOLE bottom block is replaced with EVO8 block, which has done about 60k kms.

I use all brand new parts (headgasket, head studs, etc) so it's a much better build than factory. Nice and fresh ready for big power.

The top end has also been modified, 272 BC cams, camgears, etc.

The car itself has done 78k in total.

When I build cars, I build it seriously, no point saving out a little money if it will cause trouble in the future.

Regards

Gerald.

Well said mate.. If only you wanted an sti.. I would swap instantly haha.. GL with the sale mate..

Hey there,

Just curious but what sort of power is this thing putting out? I've been in mildly modified Evo's before and they were fast enough. I can't imagine what sort of acceleration this thing has.

Either way, nice car. I'll send a link to a mate of mine who loves Evo's and has too much cash from working the mines.

Thanks mate.

It's putting 240awkw on 98 pump fuel, which is a lot for an evo.

Response is great, more than what I need.

Thanks again for passing the link.

I hope it goes to a good home, so many offers but people just have no cash to buy it.

Nice Car...... It is exactly what i need for whizzing around the hills..... How many kw at the wheels?? and what boost is the current tune on?
