R33 Gtst Series 2 Manual Coupe

Recommended Posts

For sale is my 1996 Series 2 Nissan Skyline R33 GTST

I am the first Australian owner of the vehicle i purchased it directly from an import motor vehicle company in Melbourne in early September of 2008,

the car runs like a dream and has never let me down the only reason i am selling is because it no longer suits my lifestyle. Its very hard to go camping

in and is uncomfortable to travel long distances.

Some good points;

Cusco strut bracers - front and rear

Cusco coil-over suspension (as far as i know, i can't see the labels without a hoist but there blue with 5x dampener settings on front)

As new 18" JJR mag wheels (4 months old) no marks at all like new

HKS electronic dual setting boost controller

Dump pipe 2.5' stainless with separate waste gate pipe (plumbs back into dump near front pipe flange)

3' front pipe

Dual CAT back exhaust system

Tyre's 4 months old, have excellent tread

Engine is in great condition, has never been boosted more than 1-2 pounds higher then stock. the car has never been flogged, I've had it 4 years and still have all my demerit points (only lost 1 in 12 years).

Car has never been smoked in (at least in Australia), car will be sold with either Victorian or New South Whales road worth certificate depending on what buyer requires.

Now some not so good points;

Japanese stereo system, has a band ex-pander to pick up Australian channels but 84.9 FM on the screen is equal to 104.9 FM (LCD back light is blown can be difficult to see in daylight)

The paint is in good condition for a near 16 year old car, it has some scuff's scratches and sand blasting from normal wear and tear but still looks great

The coil packs are breaking down, i have re insulated the sides and run a smaller spark plug gap to compensate but ideally they do need replacing

The drivers seat has a tear in the back cushion were all seats wear from drivers entering and exiting but will be re upholstered before sale

The boot lining that sits behind the backseat does not fit due to the rear strut brace

Local pickup only, but can deliver it to Melbourne or Canberra area's at buyers expense.

Feel free to call me for any details or inspections, Car is located in Albury / Wodonga on the VIC / NSW border.

    • Great info @tidi0x  Will definitely be handy for others and maybe me if I decide to keep the shit box H pattern.
    • Bumping this up one last time.... I wanted to follow up on the clutch slave issue. I realized that what the issue comes down to is the pocket is flat milled, and the cylinder does not want rest flat. So in order to mount it correctly you will need to make a spacer for the fingers so the cylinder is floating. I took two plates of aluminum, drilled some holes and was good. I did still need to make the relief cuts in the bell housing, as even with the spacer the bleed section still interferes. The OE bell housing the mounting holes are raised from the housing.
    • If the event in USA goes ahead will be interesting as it seems the rules will get more cars over here. Apparently the track is laguna seca too. Yeah s15, if I get a the lower dash trims, centre console and change front cross member to standard LCA position will fit clubsprint. See how rules are as i would rather do complete widebody than a bolt on flare to run the 295 with proper clearance.
    • If the car is legal height I can't see it being an issue. Found a thread on reddit that might offer some insight.   I got a ticket from a copper in QLD for my S15 being too low. They had this wheel thing on a stick that they put under the car and it hit my exhaust. Anyhow went to an exhaust shop to get the exhaust tucked up/hung a little higher and I wound the coilovers up a smidge. Don't think I even had to go back to the police station unlike when I got defected for having a carbon bonnet when I brought the S15 from the ACT to QLD and had to replace it and then rock up at a police station and have a yougish female officer who knew nothing about cars confirm that I had changed bonnets. Should have just painted the carbon bonnet yellow to match the rest of the car lol
    • Id like to race in the US i think alot of those track would suit me   For the s15? Youd be stuck between club sprint and the new Open Am wouldnt you depending on how much interior you have left in
