I am contemplating that as well..DWs delivered are about 800 delivered..Nismos can be had for 900 I believe but cant find them atm..

I looked into getting the bosch ev14s they are much cheaper and better ..then wondered if I could make them fit with a rail from a neo or something..but without knowing its too much $$$ for me to be playing around with..

And meanwhile it seems people here are getting good results with the DWs ..

at the end of the day... "people" are not you.

Your tuner is going to tune what is given to him. Do us all a favour and yourself and give him something decent to work with..

those "people" have first hand experience with the new deatschwerks. exactly what experience have you had with them in the last year that proves they're so terrible? or are you another one jumping on the "i heard a rumour they're highflows and highflows are shit" bandwagon.

personally running 1000cc dw sidefeeds which are only a single hole design so i wasnt expecting anything flash in the way of spray pattern but so far they perform just as well as the nismo 555s they replaced. the best part, they're cheaper, flow almost double what the nismos do, come in flow matched sets with warranty and support and come with new o rings, lube and detailed instructions.

yes ID's are great but they dont make 100% drop in injectors to suit all of us and dont do anything side feed

edit: OP, if your gonna get some have a look at their website, should be the cheapest place to buy. GCG are the aus distributor for them but they do throw a small markup on them.

$100 extra to go to a decent Nismo setup....

how crazy would you be not to go for that?

Does the warranty cover the charge for the new engine components and labour costs and time lost when a engine lets go because of injector failure / issues?

or do you just get another set of injectors with a piece of paper that says "im good" and you are left with the same broken engine?

*sigh*

I will indeed look at their website. Thanks for the tip :).

Guilt toy, you still haven't given me a reason. I did google the injectors and looked at the other platforms that they were used in and people don't have a problem with them.

So far I have not stumbled across one person on the Internet who has had a problem with the DW injectors.

Enlighten me, or if you wish to say *sigh* their shit because I said so, then I don't want to hear it.

also they are single hole, but so are all the new IDs and bosch...so I though maybe they are using the same tech...its pretty obvious they are not just hiflows or they would be a lot cheaper, cause hiflows can be had for 3-400$...

I dunno, im not convinced they are great, but just not convinced they are shit yet either and while I have heard some horror reports im yet to see any evidence...

Im sure if you had evidence to support that the injector failed during its warranty period and took the motor with it they would be willing to help you 'bury the matter'. Especially If your only asking for the cost of a used motor and a replacement set of injectors or refund.

I so agree that people with big budget builds shouldnt stinge a dollar, but a bolt on application is some what different in my eyes. If reports have them working well than you can assume they work well, and buy them.

The Nismo 740s are available on ebay for $1020. I ordered a set for an SR @ $680 and they were good/genuine. Yet no orings, no warranty, no nothing.... Just nismo boxes and a receipt from japland. All well and good to assume the seller will do the right thing (me a men) but have had the case in the past where i sent an item back to japan and never heard back again. Atleast with the DW you are dealing direct with the manufacturer and their rep.

Get the DWs ARTZ

The German name gives it more credibility :P

I have set of 600cc DW top feeds ready to go into mine, I'm not worried :)

Haha damn it. ^^^^

Crazy Americans given their company a German like name

It's a blokes name- Deatsch is his last name.

I have 600's and am not worried in the slightest. So many cars in the US running them without a problem. Unless you have Pics or proof....

The 800s had a bad batch a while back and were replaced.

Nismo only make 480cc injectors for the neo engine. Yes you can fit other EV14 injectors but you need to do wiring modifications etc. My tuner would only fit drop in injectors that require no mods. So then I would have had to fit them myself then get the car towed there (1 hour drive) so it could be tuned.

For someone that wants a large drop in injector they seem to do the job well.

Do Nismo or Injector Dynamics cover any of the above in event of a failure under warranty period?

I can find evidence on google of both of the brands failing :whistling:

Actually brothers run it.

The injectors that might have suspect spray patterns were the hi-flowed stock injectors. They are all tested by DW and flow matched but some hi-flowed injectors have shitty spray patterns. They may flow the headline number but dribble fuel at other times. This has been observed on a number of sets when tested.

If you have top feeds they were always new stock and there should be no issue with them as such it is pretty irrelevant to be comparing them to old hi-flowed sidefeeds.

The current sidefeeds are all from new stock.

^^ok yeah thats what i do get..

what i dont get it is, ok the new sidefeeds are made from new stock, but,

are they made/designed differently

..or..

are they still just hiflow units just made from new stock??

What makes them better than just a hiflow, cause hiflows made from new stock can be had for about 400$ from other dealers...

Did that make sense

also.. damn you top feed guys :glare:
