cant be flashing

cant be able to see the tubes

i believe theres also something about having red at the back as people might mistake it for brake lights or something.

stick with blue/green/whatever

fact is theres haters for everything, i dont run neons but if you have them and you like them then who cares what they think.

I cop plenty of flac for my girly man bag but that doesnt stop me :P

1. tube must not be visible

2. colour must not be any warning/emergency colour. ei. cops red, blue etc.

3. you can only install 1 neon tube/LED underbody for every 100hp that your car makes. so you'll need 400 hp+

dont get me wrong i love them also but all of the above is a must.

Hay all.... Couldn't really think of a section to put this in, so i thought id go local....

i recently obtained a set of LED underbody lights, (multicolour, flash patterns, bass sensitive) and fitted them, however, am a bit nervous to turn them on while driving around in case i get booked or worse stickered. Since laws vary state to state, i thought here would be a good place to check a) whether anybody else has a set of lights like this, and b)if anyone knows the actual legalitys of driving with them on.

it's ok, i've braced myself for the ricey/bling commments, but they do look cool...

cheers guys,

phil

I have someunderbody lighting too on my magna, I've been stickered for it too which sucks.

Basically you are not allowed to see the tube AT ALL.

One time I got pulled up they let me off with a warning saying "hide it, sticky tape it, or paint it"

another time i got pulled up (stickered) they said tape or paint is not allowed, the tube has to be hidden.

they can also defect your car if your lights FLASH or >> CAN BE MADE TO FLASH << which is bs, because almost all of them can be made to flash, just tell them they cant be made to flash :P

There's a document on the DPI website about it which i printed off and keep in my car, i'll have a look for that shortly, have to start work now :D someone may have already posted it though
