hey guys over the last 2 days my battery light started comming on when i stopped at the lights, but once i started driving it went away. since then its got alot worse to the point that i had to keep the revs up to keep the light off . i lost my lights boost controller radio and boost in all gears, only just made it home. ended up finding an alternator but it was off a non turbo rb 20 ive noticed its smaller then mine is this gonna be a problem with the power that it puts out

From what I remember, RB20 is 70 amps, RB25 is 80 amps, RB26 is 90 amps. They all fit, just make sure you snip off the plug for the warning light and whatever it does. The ring plug should fit up. I needed to file mine to fit it into a RB 180SX.

I got an R33 RB25DET alternator for my R32 RB20DET.

The alternator bolted up fine

The pulley was a little smaller than the RB20 one but it fit up fine and the belt was easy to tension

The positive battery fitting on the RB25 one was different - was on a right angle and was for a little but of a larger fitting. The RB20 one did not a have a right angle piece. This did unbolt from the RB25DET one and all was fine from there without modification to the fitting or anything.
