ITS NOT MINE ITS MY FRIENDS just wanted to see if anyone has had experience with this turbo as not many ebay ones have been a true bolt on

and once the turbo is fitted it will go back to the tuner to make sure everything is ok

Sounds like you've already made up your mind.

It is a dumb idea, we all think it is a dumb idea, but because this is what you want to hear I am going to say it.

SWEET IDEA DUDE, f**k YEAH BOOST IT WITHOUT A TUNE WHO CARES IT'LL BE SICK!!!

edit: lol you actually did it, kudos for posting up that horrible dyno graph, looks like you took a picture of some waves at the beach haha

hey guys...i hv been using this one for a couple of months now

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251078425474?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2697wt_1271

i have gone to a workshop when my engine was totally stock and the mechanic said that it was ok to use this turbo and will get about 300hp.. .so far i have not been able to 300hp. He told me to get a few after market stuff etc in order to achieve the 300hp...he ran the engine on the dyno more then 5 times but still didnt get the results..and still i didnt know the hp at that time. I was thinking he has not much experience on performance modifications...

Then i got some feedback from SAU members who told me to take my car to another workshop to solve my problems. The mechanic there ran my engine on the dyno more than 20x and now i get the actual readings on the safe tuning which is 196kW. Until now, the turbo has not given me any problem and i would like to try to get 250kW with ECU, injectors and AFM. I hope i will be able to get this running on the same bolt on turbo. I dont mind if this turbo burst (since its a cheapo anyway) as long as my engine is intact. i m shocked that yur friend got 260kW on the cheap turbo... :w00t: btw the mechanic did not advise to use these cheapies if you want to keep yr engine safe and running for a long time.

I know some members here told me to get a good turbo but atm this is the only one i can afford as i m working pt and studying...i am surviving on instant noodles to save n get one of those good brand turbo plus labour to fix it to my car LOL...

Guys..pls dont grill me on my opinion since i m a newbie in the engine modification environment.... :worship:

    • Latest round of updates on the car. I purchased and installed a SWS clutch slipper to help with 60ft times and got some second-hand good condition 275/40R17 Hoosier DR2 radials. Test and tune in November showed the tyres were an upgrade over my over 15 year old mickey Thompson's and I got a 1.8 second 60ft and pb et of 11.71 but even then, that run wasn't great due to rain and driver error (the event got called off 10 minutes later fast forward to the weekend just gone 25th of Jan and there was finally a break in the weather to let racing happen. The first run the track was slippery and only managed a 12.1@129 Second run the track was better and got a new pb et and mph: 11.54@131   Lith and I then worked out that I installed the previously mentioned clutch slipper incorrectly and its never been working, and I had just been dumping the clutch the entire time, we also noticed it was on street boost and not race boost. So I lined up for a third run with the car turned up in the first two gears, but the passengers side axle objected to clutch dumps and left the chat which stopped my weekend.   so there will be another attempt in the future once I replace the tyres as they rubbed and are stuffed now. but a low 11 should be on the cards.
    • Ceramic coating and heat shielding, you mean?
    • Turbos don't require pulling the motor apart so that's "easier". I would recommend the Nismo R3 turbos instead if you want to do stock twin turbo. It doesn't make as much power as the 2530s but it's only like ~50 whp off the mark and should have better response (ball bearing CHRA, slightly smaller turbo). A local that went with a Garrett G30 and 6boost manifold recently nearly burned his car to the ground after the hood insulator started melting and and burning so if you go single turbo I recommend doing a lot of research and validation work to make sure you don't do the same.
    • New rear lights, filler panel sprayed, cleaned and back together    before, during, after shots 😍
    • 100% is gyprock, I agree. Slip of the keyboard. Haha! I left my indicator bulbs out to save a bit of weight.
