Put it this way, my Nismo twin has taken easily 300-400 launches, 50 of those on drag radials before the diff destroyed itself and i tell you, the clutch was smelling like it was farked. Let it cool down though and it was good again.

Plus it's been in the car for ~30,000kms going off the old owner etc. So it's certainly proved it's value.

Tell me about it! They do put out quite a smell when you cook them! you think "well that's it I just farked my clutch" only to discover that it still drives fine and once it's cooled (which takes ages if you are driving still) the smell goes away.

mine is still going strong and I've done 100,000km on it!

what are the nismo coppermix single's like?

everyones talking about eh twin plate nismo's... how bout the singles?

It's a good question, as they are a reasonable price with the flywheel.

Same compound as the twin, just a lessor power ratting (so its easy on the foot)?

RWD only iirc,

Last DECA I managed to experience this playing around with my launch RPM, i'm glad you say that ;).

Oh yeah + another 2c for nismo twin plate (although I have the super coppermix? http://www.nengun.com/nismo/super-coppermix-twin-plate-clutch).

I've got a exedy heavy duty clutch in mine, I've got 270rwkw it feels like stock it should handle 300kw easy

It should be within your budget. I got my clutch through Racepace just ask them.

Thats what i got in at the moment at 250kw. my mate has just over 400 in his VL with a exedy heavy duty in it. the clutch has been in there for years with hundreds of launches and is still holding.

^^^^ No need, he is getting the Nismo at a very very good price!

James, if you are worried about if it's legit or not, I think it comes with an engine bay plate or something to that effect with the part #s on it, I know mine had one as it's stuck in the engine bay. They are extremely light on the foot (easy in stop start traffic even), much better than the high clamp load singles.

Yeah i was gonna say, $1800 is cheaper than any price I've ever seen (except for the LINK clear out sale last year).

$2000 ex-japan, but the lead/wait time is upto 2 months.

So local for $2200 - still a good price

I msged them yesterday for a quote came back with $2900 and no that's not installed ! You must have got them on a good day ! I'm going with my original source his price isn't far off what you got it for delivery time not to bad either (air mail)
