Strange "thing" On Front Bar.

Hey guys. I recently got myself a 1993 R32 GTS-T and I'm still stuck trying to work out that this thing is on my front bar. After a bit of research, it turns out that it's a factory option but the threads aren't very helpful as to what it actually does. Any help would be appreciated.

Translation from the threads says " - neon control (front illuminational type) Y8700,being linked to the nighttime small lamp, is the attractive item which shines in the blue green.

you press a button and it extends out with a blue or green LED in it right?

its a parking assist so you know where the front of your car is, can give you a slight aid in parking as to where your car starts, if you are parking next to a kerb etc

Thanks. Will have a dig around, but I'm yet to find a button that males it do anything. Seems like you might be right, though.

it should be near your steering wheel, the r34 had it under the steering wheel/ dashboard.
