Has anyone else had a really annoying rattle that absolutely PI55ED them off. I thought if we start a thread on where people found them it might help.

I found a rattle in the rear wiper motor, took me 2 months to figure it out.

The other one was a coin that had fallen down beside the hand break cover.

:headspin:

Constant rattling from passenger door area when going over slightest bumps. very annoying.

Rattle from somewhere behind the dash... not sure.. happens at certain rpm, can sometimes reproduce, sometimes not heard.

Rattle from back area, perhaps rear parcel shelf on some certain rpm too. May resonate to the exhaust frequency.

rs73 - take the trim off, make sure all the clips are there, i had one missing causing a rattle... they fall out easily if you take your trim off so be carefull not to drop/loose any

back area - check the roof lining, it unplugs parralell with the rear window, has steel clips, may be loose, put some kind of padding in there and reclip back in

the boot is a commonly noisy place in skylines especially the r33

the rubber stoppers that the boot rests on when closed slowly wear out .. and that means they get smaller.. which causes more metal on metal action making it rattle etc

to test.. find the round rubber stoppers and where they sit when closed, get a 10c coin and place there as a temp spacer. If it stops the rattling .. then theres the answer.. just get new rubber stoppers

Thank's will try it. I've opened my door trim before, there was one clip where the mounting on the trim is already damaged, so the plastic clip (looks like button) is moving around. maybe can secure it with blutac or something, will try.

Haven't tried the back area, but may ask audio specialist to put some padding in the rear parcel shelf when upgrading rear speakers later.
