My car has been in shop 3 weeks. Was supposed to be finished last Tuesday and I went down today and he tells me it will be finished Wednesday. :rolleyes:

I still have to get W/A, sort diff out and another issue of exhaust popping on decel when ambient temps are over approx 30 degrees Celsius. >_<

Got my helmet today and have spent the afternoon making a bracket for my fire extinguisher...

Time for a reminder if you rock up to scrutineering with a loose fire extinguisher, Maccas wrappers in the back seat, loose carpets, missing wheel nuts, loose battery, amp held in by cable ties, crappy beaten up helmets or anything else like that you'll be told to go and sort it out. The supp regs are clear about how the car is to be presented so get it right the first time. Telling the scrutineer that 'it passed at the last drift day at winton' doesn't mean anything. We aren't vicdrift scrutineers :)

Fire extinguishers need to have metal brackets!

I've read over the PDF in the original post a number of times and spoke to Martin on the GOR cruise and via PM to make sure I've got everything covered... ...Paperclips are metal... :whistling:

lol, that! The last Vicdrift day I was a passenger at they let the car I was in on with only 2/4 bolts holding the passenger seat in. My trips around Winton in the car throughout the day were interesting.

not to forget:

Competitors must wear non-flammable clothing extended from ankles to neck to wrists. Nylon clothing is not permitted. Shoes must be closed toe.

this goes for passengers as well.

      Um. No. Since Matt introduced the TIM it has become a lot easier to deal with the consequences of changing K for AFM and injector swaps. Then, tuning is a f**king doddle. No-one needs to know or care how many grams of air are flowing or any other bullshit. Need more fuel in a cell? Add more fuel. Need more timing in a cell. Add more timing. Need to adjust any of the other tables for warm up and so on? No harder than anything else. Sure - it's not an ECU system for starting from scratch on an arbitrary engine. But then.....it was never supposed to be, not recommended for, and almost never used that way. So.... On your engine, in particular, Nistune/Nissan OEM is about as sophisticated and difficult as banging 2 rocks together. Those ECUs are primitive and simple. There is nothing difficult there. I learnt Nistune from scratch, created new maps with extended axes, interpolated/extrapolated the original maps onto them and tuned my RB20 (basically the same ECU as your 26 ECU) all by myself, more than 20 years ago. And that was long before even TIM.

      Set of knee pads for a R34. Will fit every model I think. Comes with everything except the rubber covers for the bolt holes. Still in great condition. You will need to drill holes to mount these or use double sided tape. I can do free shipping and will be shipping from the Netherlands with tracking.
