Mate Nagoya have been sensational in getting my car sorted, Cody is tr bloke who's sold me the car and has been awesome with his post sale support. I wouldn't be getting a warranty pay out if it wasnt for him.

I'll be going back to them in the future.

On the dodgy km stuff the wear in my car when I bought it seemed about right with the k's so no concerns on my part there, I recall him saying its not always the dealers here that dodgy the k's too, it's the sellers in Japan who do it as well, because guess what, they make more money too :) like others have said get it inspected, I was happy with my buy.

Anyway update from my folks in sydney, the car is done, no longer Souds like a jet engine spooling up, and the old man reckons it has more go, that said I don't think he knew how much it had beforehand either ;).

Hoping I can get back down to Sydney this weekend and pick it up!

Oh a question, do rebuilt turbos have a run in time frame?

The first time the turbo comes on boost; it's going to spin to 80 000+ RPM, and the exhaust turbine will be over 600 degrees.

It has to be perfect when it's built, or it won't last the start up.

The most beneficial thing you can do for a turbo at first startup is pre-lubing it to ensure it doesn't run dry in the first few seconds.

Good stuff, eager to get down and pick it up! 4 days!

Seeing as its high flowed, should I be looking at getting something like the e manage, exhaust, etc to get the most out of it?

How much of a job is it to install a dump pipe? Can it be done on ramps?

Also do most of the aftermarket dump pipes match to the stock exhaust or are they a larger diametre. No one wants to get rid of a whole system for the right price do they ;)

They should all bolt up to the factory exhaust if the fabricator is any good.

I did mine on a hoist and it was a pain in the arse! A little easier now that I've done it a couple times but still a pain. I think some of the guys have done them on ramps.

I fit the dumps with a jack and stands, I just lift the passenger side as high as I can. There are a few tricks to it though...

I can only speak for my dump and front pipe design, they both use the stock flange sizes. I would recommend changing them both together as the stock front pipe has a piece of 2.5 inch pipe sticking out past the flange.

Lets just say that some of their cars "coincidentally" have been known to have similar mileages; around the 50-65 000km area. :whistling:

That's not to say you won't get a good one; I bought mine from them and it had 39 000km (which I do believe to be fairly genuine). It's been basically perfect.

Just make sure you see the original Japanese auction sheets PRIOR to laying any cash on the line. As with any sale, if it doesn't smell right; walk away.

Alex was great to deal with, but Dmitriy; not so much. Made a lot of promises, (all promises had been made via email) and then promptly forgot about them when it was time to deliver, Alex sorted most of it out.

I believe Dmitriy has since moved on, and is still on form...

All car yards will have bad stories; some due to genuine issues, some due to unrealistic expectations. There are a lot of good stories too, but people make the most noise when they feel they have been wronged.

Build a relationship with the dealer and I believe they will take care of you.

If you don't like the way you are treated in the beginning; I don't believe things will improve down the track, if you have an issue.

Went to Nagoya a couple of times over the last two years.....had nothing but CRAP service, & got the impression they weren't too interested in helping me, even when I said I will buy two cars!!! Was constantly lied to & strung along by John Macris about an RS FOUR S they had on the boat, then sitting on the docks, then a month after he promised it would be in the yard & he'd call me, still no car or call.........got another cock'n bull story. Master Cars at Blacktown were a great help, I'd recommend them to anyone in terms of personalized service!!!!!!!

haha, i bought mine there too. def dont have 60k on the clock, but when i bought mine about 1 month later it had that whistelling noise, but i drove it for roughly a year untill the seals blew and i even boosted the shit out of it.

sonded the exact same all the time, still running 150psi across all cylinders too. so as much as i can guess, no severe problems internally.

What turned me off Nagoya was when I looked at a stagea with its stereo/climate control missing and was told casually that guys on the boats sometimes steal valuable parts and they would fit a head deck for me, no thanks i pass on cars that have been messed with by thieves, private sale was way cheaper and a much more unique stag in the end

Yeah same here went to said place and looked at a black M35, what put me off was that when I said I wanted to get it professionally inspected and he wanted me to put down a deposit (wasn't comfortable with that) and then went on to say that the car had an issue and he knew what it was but wasn't going to tell me. After that I just walked off, no need to deal with that.

The car was on top of all that had been painted black so that lead me to believe that it had either been crashed and they couldnt match the paint and so just took the easy route and painted it black, his reason as to why it was black was cause they wanted to try it out and see if the car would sell. What horse shit is that??? Who paints a car just for fun so that they can see if it would sell.
