im getting the alloy ones put on my car next week, ive been told they make the car a bit harsher to drive but they are great for traction and cornering. They get rid of axel tramp so theres minimal movement in the sub frame.

I think the standard ones are only rubber? not sure but the polyurethane ones are a good in between bush as they still help with axel tramp but arnt as harsh as alloy ones.

Hope that helps

I am assuming the alloy stuff you purchased is:

Sure it actually replaces the rear end bushes?

The stock bushes I was told is silicon, so when they split/break it'll look like its leaking and stuff.. I have the same problem with my front bushes.. I've been told that for the front bushes to be replace it will be $80/$150 to "roll" the bush into the original one's location? So I would guess the rear ones are ~ the same price or slightly more..

Correct me if I'm wrong.. cause I'm still new to all these stuff. :D

mmm i got a quote from pedders for $450 for replacing every rear bush plus a rubber thing thats split on the front arm (dunno which one maybe control arm???) and a wheel alignment... i might go see what other places can do for me...

    • It sounds like the perfect time to do easier tasks like, work out how to pull the headlights fully apart, clean them inside and out, and make them meticulous... Or lose all the clips, f**k up polishing the lenses, and get frustrated with that job while you can't do bigger more fun ones and wind up with no usable headlights...   I mean... What?! 😛
    • @soviet_merlin Thanks mate!  Nothing too major but will hold me up for a while. I've got lipomas to get taken off the back of my neck and the middle of my spine which always conjures scary thoughts!  It sounds worse than it is. Yeah great, more time to contemplate rabbit hole deepening , just what I need! 🤣
    • I'd argue the F50 kit I got is very good value. For ~2k I got the calipers (refurbed condition), adapters, pads, brake lines, rotors, and top hats. I think you'd be pretty hard to get Evo/GTR/350z brembos + the additional hardware for similar money. Used market for a pair of front calipers alone I've seen tend to run anywhere from $1500-2000 depending on condition.    That said, something like a GTR or 350z brembo is a lot easier to adapt to the Silvia.
    • Is there a significant price difference between the Evo/gtr/350z brembos vs the F50? Looks amazing.
    • I was actually being a tightarse at the time LOL... My OCD is tickling me into running a 2nd 8AN Teflon hose all the way down and removing the 2x OEM hardlines. My other side of my brain is telling me to run 2x hardlines front to back (also acts as a fuel cooler, so win win).
