hey guys just wondering about the gt3076

what kind of power figures can the gt3076 with the internal wastegate .76 rear housing make on a rb25det with supporting mods

from my understanding and results ive seen that they are not the best choice of rear housing for the turbo to suit the rb25 engine

can anyone help

ive never heard of that one, far as i know its either .63 or .82 , i would not even try non genuine garrett housing, you looking for trouble there, if you want the best results then dont try and take short cuts, stay with a .82

yeah i know i had a guy offer me a gt3076

its the .76 internal gate rear housing which is a direct bolt on for our rb20/rb25 dump pipe pleaces like GCG and tweakit sell it

im a bit worried as its not a genuine garrett housing as i only want a .82 and im happy to make my own dump pipe to suit

but the guy claims he made 284rwkw on a rb25 on bp98 with only 18psi

if it were me , i wouldnt take any chances, by the the time you've paid for it to be dyno tuning and it turns out the housing is crap ,you'll wish you'd just gone genuine,

the .82 is proven over time so atleast theres confidence in it.. up to you though how much you want to give things a go and re dyno etc.

i went .82 with external cause i wanted to eliminate any issues..

yeah im pretty sure theres no such thing as a garrett .76 rear for those turbos... its just a housing though i dont see how it could be problematic as long as it suits the turbo properly.. it would be a good size though i reckon

hmmm... is he a known trader/common on the forum?

just interesting that he made exactly the same power as me on exactly the same boost on 98....

just make sure he is legit.....

those avo type housings are tried and tested............ and turned out to be shit

you can find plenty of info about them on this forum if you look hard enough. its a lucky dip how it will go, some are usable some are just rubbish and you definitely wont get your 300kw that you want.

if you want a simple 300kw follow Stao's mods to the tee and bolt a G3 on it. you should get over 300.

Why not a SS2, more responsive than a G3 and is just in the 300rwkw category?

Are you sure its .76?? Most likely to be a .73AR internal wastegate Skyline housing from AVO turboworld

http://www.avoturbo.com/pdf/gts_exhaust_housing.pdf

Rated to between 280-300rwkw at around 20-22psi on 98Ron fuel.

Nothing wrong with this exhaust housing whatsoever, been running it for a number of years. Spools up nicely, puts down the power well.

"very shit" my arse

I haven't really seen any results on the ss2 in the 300rwkw on 18psi

And what's the transition of boost like ie between gears and driving in traffic,

Then it comes down to price

As a Garrett gt3076 will be cheaper what will make close to 300 easier with less lag and more reliability

if i was to get a gt3076 im happy to go external wastegate thats not a problem

but im atill trying to convince myself if a hypergear will be as responsive as a 3076 and make 300 well 290rwkw IW on 18psi but looking at dynos it seems they spike a bit

can anyone comment what would be the better option

its goin to cost about the same for the hypergear as its goin to for the 3076

    • They should do. I have S14 (or something S chassis, anyway) driveshafts in my R32 (because my diff flanges have 3x2). They're the right length. When you go looking for R32/3/4 driveshafts (for turbos), they're all the same thing, so are the same length. So there really shouldn't be any reason why those cheapies from JJ won't also fit an R34. R32/3 NA should also be the same thing. The (3x the price) D-Max ones are uni-fit. They have 5x1 and 3x2 bolt holes and say they cover all the cars. So that would also suggest that they are all the same except for the flanges. And in that case, the flange goes both ways. I'd be buying the D-Max ones if I ever have to replace a shaft. Because that will open up diff options without needing to juggle shafts also. Juggling shafts is gay.
    • Yeah with the adaptors they do look like the photo above - just the fitment within the plenum itself and then further with the rail to the intake is questionable - we shall see tomorrow hopefully once I get some replies from Aeroflow, maybe those bosses are the missing piece....
    • Should be fine, if you have it sitting too far in, you end up just spraying the walls and have shit idle. You "can" run them like that, however I don't think it's a great idea (also depends on your plenum, might be good to just get the injector bosses first, mock it up and see if you need to get the bottom extension) Ideally your injectors, with the extension should look like this  (Not my photos, just Google)
    • Thanks for the replies guys, it's really appreciated.  It seems the kit was supposed to come with those injector bosses but hasn't. Unsure if they'll help as even with the adaptors to make them a 3/4 height injector they still sit too far out so mount the fuel rail?
    • Hello, I am looking to replace my two rear drive shafts in my R34 N/A Skyline but I'm finding conflicting information. Do S13/S14/S15 or R32 NA/ R33 NA fit? https://justjap.com/products/gsp-premium-rear-drive-shaft-l-h-nissan-silvia-s13-s14-s15-3x2-type?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOoqY7EwDaYCUoUU3mxxZ_qrUXkVVHiV4MIN7ozoar6scjnEiekv- would this fit?
