I'm not picking on you... But remind us how much power yours makes? Meeting its rating?

Actually you are more or less hitting the high average as it is. I dont recall seeing anyone with 300kw results out of one of those housings. Sorry to say, happy to be proven wrong though.

its all good.

auto, 450cc injectors, ecu-flash tune + piggyback .... had 250rwkw at 16psi

currently with forged bottom end has 230rwkw at 13psi (after 1000kms)

will do a high boost tune sometime down the track, and expect maybe 270rwkw for 18psi, bit more if I go for 20psi.

Look, I agree that youd be pushing to make the 300rwkw with 20psi in a manual with a fully tuneable ECU. But it shouldnt be a problem to reach 280+rwkw with it.

To me its just a number :/ Eventually will push it on the dyno to see where she gets up to, but happy enough with the performance as it is (better ecu + injectors would release a nice result, but TBH Im a bit over it all - its just a car to me now)

Agree with Tangles. 280-300kw seems to be the norm including myself with 297kw at 17psi (18psi that drops to 17psi). Stock manifold with 550cc injectors and retuned ECU (typical FMIC, upgraded pump, AFM). Have been in an R33 with a 2835 and that gives plenty of response and kick with about 260rwkw.

Its just that the number is relative. One thing I know about those housings is that it puts a cap on the turbo which more or less makes it work like a good XXXkw turbo should. So in your case, it does a good job of 250kw whereas a .82 3076 would do a very mediocre job of 250kw.

I think the only thing that is holding your setup back is your boost, which is why I made the comment I did. Auto is OK, your general setup is OK, S15 injectors are OK, no issues - nothing to blame (IMHO).. Run more boost and you will have it try to make more power, but I'll bet that it will start to choke pretty quick.

From memory we theorized a lot with ARTZ about his one, his is the 7 blade 76 with a similar rear to urs I believe. If I knew which thread it was in I would link you. It helped him move off the dirty thin and onto a good thing! lol

I was told, out of interest 4BIDN one on here has a series one stag same as yours, without Poncams like yours, on the same dyno with a 3076 56T, .63 garret housing , external gate on a stocky manifold

244 rwkw on 15psi, but with 6 degrees less timing than yours and a lot better response apparently, its a pretty nice street setup for a heavy stag.

cheers

GTX3076 will SMASH 300kw peice of piss my lil GTX3071 made 288kw on 21psi on 98 and im sure its gotta few psi left to breathe in its efficiency range to crack another 12kw to make the magic 300kw let alone its bigger brother

is that ok to go upto 21psi on a stock unopened engine, i was thinking 18psi was bout the limit, not sure what tuners do with these turbo's, should they be allowed to keep going until they stop producing power or whats the point of , "thats enough for the stock motor"

Im gunna be running 25psi + next week on my stockie lol but im running E85 see how long she lasts lol

most GT3076 makes 300rwkw or close to it on 18psi your GTX should do it around 16-17 i would imagine

ive seen 24psi on unopened motors its all about the tune

gees thats crazy, might see if they can push mine a bit, just to see what it does on 22-24psi then pull it back to 18 or 20,

really good thread this one, interesting to see what happenswith your 25psi E85 set up Mick O

Fair call jet31. Will give my engine a proper push sometime around the middle of the year, & see where it ends up... My engine lost its ringlands so something wasn't right at some point in time. Would love to Nistune it (z32 ecu & harness) but lack the funds; the ecu setup in mine could be much better.

Was told theoretically and in an ideal situation of course by my tuner that i could make as much 350kw on 25psi at the moment im on 18psi and 307kw and he said its got heaps more left in it so fingers crossed it does lol
