Up she goes again!

Has to sell: I'm already modding my little runaround (promised I wouldn't!), so need some spare $$ to keep the Minister of War and Finance happy...

Come and take this fantastic machine off me...

this looks like darth vaders pimp my ride special

why am i finding my self drawn to this car??? i want a E39 M5 but my god this would be a damn close substitute, maybe if my evo or sti sell........

No I must stay strong and sell both and get my M5 lol the force is strong with this car

I hear you: My old man bought a E39 M5 brand new, then supercharged it: I sold it a few years ago, after inheriting it and wanted another E39 fix, but without having to remortgage to get it.

Manual conversion in this car (if you feel the need) and supercharger kit, and you're done! Plus, unless you're very patient and lucky, you'll be driving a M5 with twice the mileage and the fugly 2-tone interior for more than the modded price of this one... :whistling:

Fact - BMW were very close to deciding not to release another M5 for the E39 generation, thinking that the 540i (particularly 540i/6 not sold here) was enough. Good thing they did, but says something about the performance of the 540.

Okey Dokey: Up she goes: much more intetest at this price point, but nobody has taken her home yet: You're still in with a chance!

She may be a bigger girl, but she's a real firecracker when you put your foot into her..... I'm just going to stop now.

Still For sale! :)

  • 2 weeks later...

juuuust Bumping!

Plenty of interest. No interesting offers!

Getting frustrated with the number of "sight unseen" offers: come and see it. Drive it. Love it like I do!

This car will only go to a good home: it deserves that!

Must be frustrating Micah but it's not limited to your Bimmer, I got plenty of silly offers for my old R34 GTR as well.

In the end yours will end up going to a good home I'm sure.

I know it will. It just takes the right buyer, and plenty of time... That's cars for you: listed the Wife's Ford Fiesta XR4 about 3 weeks before I listed the BMW: sold in 38hrs: right buyer at the right time...

I'm used to the lowballers: I used to import 3-4 cars per year for the purpose of driving all the "wish-list" cars I had in my teens/early 20's, then moving on to the next one: it was fun...

FYI people: this car has an agreed insurance value of $22500. Someone hurry up and buy it so I can finance more shiny go fast bits on my Stagea!

The Bmw is as honest a car as you will see: only top quality oils and parts used: it IS as good as it looks!

Actually, as of this afternoon, The car is sold! Many thanks to all for the kind words, and much interest! I hop the new owner treats it right...

Cheers,

Micah

    • Hello! I'm new here, I have an R33 GTST that is currently being finished up! Last year was pretty rough, blew two stock turbos so I decided to build the car. Has been down since November, but I get it back next weekend!
    • Hello, I believe my car was imported to America in the 2000s by Kaizo Industries. Would anyone be able to help me find more info on them? I've only found all the basic stuff like that paul walker bnr34, them being shutdown by feds, just stuff like that. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!
    • I am using Motec M150.  I am not working on the car myself actually.  My workshop is giving all these info, they are quite reputable in the industry and are very familiar with Motec and RBs and have done a few big setups with VCam and single turbo on RBs.  In fact, they built and tuned my engine from day one.  But they are stumped with my engine at the moment and cannot work out how come the compression is so low with the VCam. They told me that they have now swapped in some Kelford cams (without the VCam) and can achieve around 130psi compression and the low end torque is better, but now the engine is doughy as.  It boosts and peaks at more than 1000rpm slower, with twin HKS GTIII RS, it doesn't get full boost until over 5000rpm. I have always thought the VCam was a bit disappointing at the low rpm. To a point I had to ride the clutch a fair bit to get up a small hill from stand still.  That was when I had a clutch.  Now changing to a 8HP, I don't have that luxury and this problem has become a major issue. I am beginning to think the VCam never work since the day it was installed.  Maybe it was just sitting at the most advanced point, that is why it went good at top end but very ordinary at the bottom.  Therefore, with the help of the Holinger 6 speed and paddle shift, as long as it was moving, it drove pretty good.
    • yeah, there's a country that recently started importing Skylines, I blame them.
    • I don't have a printer, but could at least attempt to make a printable model.
