Unknown Clips Clips/retainers Found In 33 Box.

Hey guys found these reatiners/clips on the drain plug of my r33 5speed. Anyone know what these are? only problem i seem to be having with the box is sometimes it crunches slightly into 4th?

any help would be much appreciated,

they are the syncro retaining clips. crunching will slowly get worse

As above, if you keep driving it around prepare for the rebuild bill to get bigger

I have been told that they were synchro retaining clips. But also been told they are clips for the selector fork?

Whats the damage roughly on geting this repaired?

Synchro retaining clips out of the 3rd/4th sliding hub.

Pricewise, it'll depend on what your local g/box reduilder charges per hour, price of a bearing kit, clips and whatever other damage he finds. I wouldn't expect much change out of $1500. Best bet would be to get a strip and quote and go from there

if your in Vic, Competition Gearboxes in Croydon, I've had a few rebuilt, and most expensive was $800
