hi all,

i am about to purchase a blitz turnflow intercooler for my r34gtt, now my question is has anyone managed to put a front mount on with the standard (some call it a nismo aero bar some call it altia kit) just wondering how badly you would have to cut the bar to make a good enough opening for the front mount?

if someone has some photos of how theirs looks after modding that would be great. as i am considering whether i should sell my front bar and buy aftermarket if it is too hard or if it looks dodgy.

here is a photo of the front bar

thanks

helped a mate install one of these, chopped out the plastic the numberplate sits on and mounted the number plate of to the side, took our time cleaning up the plastic where it was cut and it all looks awesome

Hey mate have a look at my turnflow installation thread here. I've got the standard Series 1 front bar and gotta say the Nismo one looks a bit trickier...

I used a standard angle grinder with a sanding disc for cutting and trimming, worked a treat. I first tried with a dremel and it was s__thouse.

Good luck.

+1 for cutting with a grinder so easy and clean. I mark out where I have to cut and then just use a thin cutting disc just dont go to slow or else it heats up the plastic and melts and looks shit.
