Bucket/after Market Seats

Hey guys, just a quick and probably simple question, are bucket seats legal in victoria? I've been told they are not and will not pass a RWC... if so, why?

i was so close to buying some bride seats, lucky i looked into this because it just wasn't worth the hassle by cops and also if something had to happen and insurance got involved in a smash.

so ill just get my gtr seats retrimed now , much easier !

Many Recaros are also ADR approved.

The seat is recaro but when it went for RWC it wouldn't pass, is there a list on Vicroads anywhere and a serial number/stamp somewhere on the seat to see the model?

As most have said, the seats need to be ADR approved. On top, the rails will also need to be ADR approved. This is where an engineer comes in.

Being a mechanical engineer myself, I had a chat to one of the engineers who offer the VASS certs and to get seats "legal", it must meet the above criteria.

After seeing some drift seats disintergrate over a few weeks, I would prefer to have my bride seat with no sticker.
