Intercooler hose joints

I just ordered a couple of silicon lengths from pirtek BUT, I must have tried over a dozen places (several auto stores, hardware stores, plumbing, hose specialists, radiator specialists) and nobody has ordinary rubber hose.

All the auto stores go "uhh yeah, we can order silicon hose......" and just trail off like it's something they have no knowledge of and couldn't care less about, so it'd probably take 6 weeks of me strangling them with the phone cord before I actually saw my order.

Who the heck carries it? 2.5" ID rubber hose. I'm really curious
