Licence plate changes

I'm furious. i went to the RTA web site to see if the licence plates i wanted for my next car were available, and you can't buy them outright anymore. Does anyone know how long this has been changed for? $100 a year for basic plates is a bloody ripoff, stuff you Bob Carr.

Dammit, I had an awesome idea for a plate too, but it's gone now. Oh well, it proves that if you snooze, you lose!

they changed the prices about a week b4 christmas last year....my ex was going 2 get me some plates as a present, but she left it 2 days to late 2 buy them......and i didnt want 2 have 2 pay 100 per year 4 a gift from her

Friday December 15..I remember because I ordered my plate at 11:30pm that nite.. there's been a pretty big push against it..(SMH's drive blasted it pretty badly) but it looks like it's going to stay for the time being.
