^ looks like light painting to me. That is long exposure and painting the light onto the car.

(O)(O)SKYLINES(O)(O) - It's just a light painted photo chopped.

good shots Sidd! hope you're going well full time now mate!

Cool!

Thanks fella's!

Sold the skyline guys :( Having a baby soon! On the brighter side, I got to pick out a BM... so gave her the first polish+wax...

Turned out pretty nicely.. so played a round with it a bit and have something a little unusual. I have the original, but really liked how the background turned out.

What do you mean on the brighter side? A kid would be way more rewarding man (and cost about the same amount of money haha) Congratulations! I've been bitten by euro fever of late too. Looks nice man.

here's a rig shot from the latest series.

Sometimes you gonna come across videographers who use flood lights. Nothing you can do about it:

I dont get it, how does it foul up your shots? the example you showed looked awesome. and the shoe/money giving thing, how does that work exactly? it looks like good natured chaos..

Overall your post was like reading a magazine article on shooting Indian weddings, a bit more fleshing out and you could submit it to a few publishers!

any chance you have this shot without the couple in it? no hate for the couple but its such amazing scenery i wouldnt mind seeing it denuded of people as well..

oh and cant forget my cousins wedding I photographed two weeks ago:

The guy in the back row, second from left. Im going to hell for this but hes pulling an awkward face, would love to see that meme done where it zooms in on his face then it pulls out and everyone has his face. just saying. could be the 3 am talking.

Its a nice clean Bimmer but if purely for family WHY U NO keep skyrine and pick up a cheap ten year old wagon for the family run around duties as a second car? how will u do track days in the 3 series?

your stuffs as gorgeous as ever Matt!

Wow matt, that is one of my favourite shots from you - the car looks really 'real' and the lighting is amazing.

I didn't mean 'on the brighter note' for the child haha. I'm estatic abou it. I can't wait! I meant, on the brighter note of selling the skyline... sorry for the confusion

Jay - Thanks for the feedback mate. With the 2nd pic you quoted, I dont mind the shadows behind them. Its nothing really that harsh. Perhaps if they were right against the wall then yup I will hate it. But now that im looking at it again you could be right lol (damn you hahahaha). No diffussion. Just bare 1/2 power on the speedlite. Was pretty dark in there. I wonder even if I had the speedlite in the softbox it would have created that shadow.

Kory - Yea its keeping me busy. We gotta catch up soon. Seems like you have disappeared lately.

Matt - Loving that first skyline pic. Incredible location as well. Nice balance of light with the strobe :) Keep it up. Oh and I still gotta give you your vegabond.

Richie - oohhh going to the dark side eh. Which series BMW?

Patty - Well the video light which is a flood light causes yellow skin tones which look horrible. Sometimes it can be handy as fill light, but I just hate the yellow skin tones. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it just doesn't. The shot of the couple was taken at la perouse. If you live in sydney go check it out :) Nice spot for a picnic and to just chill out and watch the sunset.

nd the shoe/money giving thing, how does that work exactly?

It all starts when the groom has the remove the shoes during the ceremony. Bride’s family makes wacky plans to steal the shoe and hide it. On the other hand the groom’s family tries to protect the shoe. Usually the bridesmaids successfully steal the shoes as it is a matter of their pride and honor. Once the ceremony is over and the groom needs his shoes back he and his family start searching for it. The bridesmaids surround him and ask for a huge sum of money which the groom pays them and gets his shoes back.

Basically its just a fun little thing you do. Indian weddings are never boring :)
