Been browsing through this thread too. lots of people close but not the same as the size and offset im looking at
CST Hyper Zero 1's in 18x9 +30 on a lowered R34 GTT Coupe.
Not concerned with stance or anything just dont want to have to modify the guards. and dont want to lose much turning lock (gf loves to apply full lock when in car parks etc)
What do you think? Appreciate any insights [emoji4]

I had 18x9+22 on mine and it was lowered, slightly. You'll be good.
What tyre sizes will you be running?

Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo "r34 gtr wheels on gtt"

  • 4 weeks later...
I have a '98 R34 GT-T.
I had some Rota Grid 18x9.5 +35 and 18x10.5 +35 with 235/40 tires.
Fitment looked good but the fronts actually scrubbed on the inside suspension when turning too far. The 235's on the 10.5's were also a bit TOO stretched for my taste.
So today I just installed some Work Emotion 11R 18x9.5 +20's all around and kept the 235/40 tires. The fitment looks perfectly flush with the rear fenders but sticks out considerably on the front. VERY aggressive but it DOES fit with stock fenders and doesn't scrub. I like it. I don't intend to roll. I'm running stock GT-R shocks/struts.

So I went to purchase my rims today but they ran out of 18 x 9.5 + 38 for the rear, but they had the 18 x 9.5 +20 instock.
I know the rear for the gtt has some room to play with, and was told the +38 was rather safe. Would i be able to run the +20 offset for the rear with 255/35 tires with no scrubing and not so much poke to get defected? Or should i go 235/40 tires?
Ultimately I want a safe but flush fitment. Yours look pretty ideal [emoji108].
Any thoughts /suggestions appreciated!

18x9 + 30 is what i run on the front no issues with a 245 tyre at all.. mind you i run my ride hight around 106mm (due to steep drive way) but you should be fine if your lower

18x9.5 + 20 will be fine itl be flush, i would run the 255 tyre (235 is a bit to skinny for a 9.5 tyre imo)

Should fit ok on the back at +20

I've had 9.5 +38 on the back and that fit with no guard work

Mine are +26, with 245/40's and they fit well running about 1.2 degrees camber

I have rolled my guards now however, it would probably scrub without rolling the guards

Will most definitely poke a little, mine poke about 1-2mm unless you run more camber I guess

235's pretty narrow on a 9.5, I've got 245's all round and I wouldn't want any more stretch - not a fan of the massive stretched look

Update: all wheels fitted with re003 235\40

18 x 8.5 + 30 front
18 x 9.5 + 38 rear

Pleased with the front, the rear maybe too much tuck into the body. Considering reducing camber in rear so fitments looks better but it's not a big deal.

I've been told that the tire sizing 235\40 for 9.5 was acceptable and then others saying it's not ideal etc etc been really conflicting. Did a little research and most prefer not to fit 235\40 for 9.5 apart from this website and Bridgestone who said it should be acceptable. http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/wheel-rim-size-calculator

Is there anything I should be cautious about given it may be considered stretched even if it's abit?

This might sound odd, but can you get some close up shots of how the re003's at 235/40 sit on your 9.5" rims?

From what I've seen they seem to be quite a wide fit and can't find any pics online. I'd imagine 235/40/18 would be priced reasonably also given the common size

Yeah that's the reason I wrapped it in 235\40 as it was cheaper option given Bridgestone was doing a promotion. Once these wear out I shall go proper sizing. received_10155667226972586.thumb.jpeg.16

Has anyone managed to fit a 285,295 or even a 305 tyre on a R34GTT without having issues. I understand that i will probably need to pump the guards too. Keen to know what what offset was used. Reasons being I have an RWD car and would like to put the power down. Suspension has been setup to maximise straight line traction but I think my 265s are letting me down.

Anyone able to help me figure out which offset this square set of work XT7’s is? Can’t find it anywhere :( 18x9.5

235/40 stretched up front, 255/35 on rear. Both seem to only just clear the coilovers

Completely eyeballing it only, I am saying they are probably +20.

I have 9.5 +27, and yours look to be sitting out about 7mm more than mine :p, and I wouldn't say they are +12's because they don't look 15mm further out than mine.

Surely the wheel says though on the back of it?

If i were you, and haven't yet picked those wheels up, do not pick those wheels up because those rears will not fit under any circumstances you can think of for the rear under stock quarters.

I’m gonna be picking up a used set of 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +22 for my GTT.  GTR look bodykit from eastbear but stock fenders and quarters. Stock ride height for now. Wish me luck lol

Kinkstaah is right, the wheels will never fit but with stretched tyres you might be ok. You will need 235/30 for the front And likely 255/25 for the rear

i tried to get heroic and squeeze 275’s on the back but the passenger side has scrubbed away about 2mm of sidewall. With a +25 offset I’m gonn need to downsize to 265/35/18

I also adjusted the camber to negative 1.25 degrees
