What do you think of wedssport tc105x 18x9 +32 (255/40) all round? Too big in the front maybe?

They will pretty much only fit in that space. I also had them in the past with 18x9.5 +27 (because the tyre was mounted in the same spot, centrally speaking).

Mind you, you will want to roll guards, make sure your liners are absolutely clipped in, and potentially relocate the driver side loom under the right/driver side front quarter panel, because you can/will rub through it if your springs aren't ultra rock hard.

 

Will your life be a hell of a lot easier with a 8.5in rim and a 255? Yes.

 

Was moving the loom simply a matter of tying it up higher? Or did you have to disconnect/ re feed it to the outside of the chassis like in your pic

Alright so after reading this entire tread again and comparing a lot of setups on willtheyfit.com I think I found the right setup, if not please tell me.

car: r34 gtt w/ stock fenders

front: 18x9 +32 with 255/40 tyres

rear: 18x9.5 +35 with 265/35 tyres

After comparing so many setups I'm pretty sure the rear will fit. But I'm not 100% sure about the fronts. Is is better to run 18x8.5 + 32?

Or will the 9j +32 in the front fit?

Can anyone confirm this? also do I need to roll fenders?

We actually had to uh... mould the lip a bit with a hammer and cut a section out/fold it out of the way. There isn't *quite* enough slack in the wires to move the loom onto of it unlike a S chassis where you can.

Luckily you don't need to cut wires. When you see it in front of you its fairly easy to see which pars of the lip need some attention to get it to go over the top, but it can (and should) be done.

re: Above wheels, 18x9 +32 will fit fine on the front, with a 255. With a 265 you will be real (REAL) close to touching the upright arm with  the outer edge of your tyre.

HOWEVER a 255/40 is a larger rolling diameter than a 265/35. Beware of your loom ?

9j +32 on the front it is. If I put a 255/40 on it would I have any issues with clearance or rubbing? I want to keep the fenders stock without rolling them. Would a 245/40 be safer?

Hi all. Looking for some help for picking new wheels for my 34 gtt. Come with some god awful ROH Mantis wheels I need to bin ASAP.

Looking at 18x8.5 +30 Fronts, 18x8.5 +35 Rears.

Car is lowered on coil overs, no guard roll. Will this be a good fitment? After a very slight poke if possible. Looking for semi-aggressive fit without drawing to much attention from the po po. Don't want to roll guards and have to worry about scrubbing. Which the stupid 19's I have now are like.

Prob go 235's front and 265's rear if that fits. Would prefer 255's rear but its uncommon size.

I have 18x9 +28 all around. 235/40 and 255/35. I’ve got 18x9.5 +22 ready to go on the rear. I don’t think i’ll have an issue.

I'm trying to get a tiny bit of poke with a small stretch to the tyre look. But I do not want to roll guards or go aggressive camber.

A ROTA Wheel salesman suggested 9.5 +20 all round. Not too keen on that.

I spent hours scrolling through the other thread but there really isnt a heck alot in there for 34's. I guess what I'm really looking for are the maximum and minimum offsets for the 3 widths I'm considering. 8.5 on fronts, 9.5 or 10 on rear.

235/40 or 245/40 is best for an 18x9 up front. +32 offset will sit well.

once you move up to a 255 tyre you are meant to drop to a 35 profile. I found 255/35 to be a good size for the rear but if you can fit wider then go for gold. Fatter tyre at the back always looks good

18x9.5+20 is a common size but fitment all depends on your suspension.

i had it fit well on my 34 sedan With rolled guards but a few pages back - someone else said it was too pokey.

If you want to keep factory guards unrolled then I recommend 8.5 up front and 9.5 rear, somewhere around the +25 or +30 offset region

Thanks! in the meanwhile I found another set of rims, which come in different offset.

I think I wil go for this setup:

car: r34 gtt coupe w/ stock fenders

front: 18x9 +35 with 245/40 tyres

rear: 18x9.5 +35 with 265/35 tyres

The car is stock atm but I will lower it a bit with coilovers before I change the wheel & tyre setup.

This setup will probably fit right?

I had Work Emotion T7Rs fitted yesterday and am stoked with the results.

- Nismo/Bilstein factory suspension

- stock guards with no intention of rolling them

Front: 18x8.5 +30 (wheel weight 10.01kg if you're interested), 235/40/18 BS-007A

Rear: 18x9.5 +38 (10.13kg), 255/30/18 BS-007A

 

I haven't been for a spirited drive yet, but no detectable scrubbing at all so far.

Is your 2nd to last picture showing clearance between suspension and wheel/rim on the rear I take it? If so, thank you everso. Makes me comfortable about my wheel choice for the rear. 18x9.5 +35. I think 3mm closer will be fine. Looks like there is def room.

I really wanted those same wheels but they don't seem to come in the colour I'm hunting for, gloss black. I'd settle for matt black but the pictures I've been looking at look more grey to me.

yeah the second last pic is the rear...but with +35 you're going away from the strut by 3mm, not towards.

@ob1 I compared your front setup to mine on willtheyfit.com and it says my rim will be 11.4mm closer to the strut.

Do you reckon you still have that space left in the front?

If i go for a 8.5 instead of 9 in the front my rim will be 5mm closer to the strut compared to yours.

That will probably fit, But i'd rather have the 9's for the more aggressive look.

I am not an expert wheel fitter, but it looks like you'll have no worries.  I measure about 21mm gap from rim to that suspension arm.
