looking for a cheap little pulsar for a daily.

the only examples in my price range are edging on 200,000+ kms.

ive never owned a pulsar past the 200,000k mark, how do they hold up? obviously its all subjective to how they have been looked after/ driven.

there are plenty for sale rearing the 300k mark, so i guess its got another 100k left in it?

FYI it2 200,000+ k's on 1999-2003 models.

cheers adam

My daughter bought this about 2 and a half years ago......

A 1 owner 1990 Pulsar Reebok..... Not for sale but I thought you may find it interesting.

It had original radio, original 1990 spare tyre. She has modernised it a bit now but it's still a great car, now has 221,000 kms.

why are people so freaked out by the 200k km mark? ive driven cars with 300k and even 450k+ mark. still drives normally.

i remember my gti, originally had 98whp back when brand new, dynoed it when it had 225k on it, did 96whp. pretty damn nice, the block was still in perfect bore too. they were +0.01mm oversized. bretty damn good for that car. had perfect service history and everything.

^^^ that's true.

My n15 pulsar has 200xxx km on it and drives like a dream. Only thing that needed to be done was the clutch 10,000 km ago.

Remember it's not like these cars get boosted nd pushed to their limits. It runs the way it came from the factory and will run almost forever. (please don't brake pulsar) haha

My crappy daily is a 1997 1.8l lancer that had 220k on the clock when i got it off of a mate for next to nothing. It now has 295k on it and is still going strong. As long as you do the usual services/maintenance then it should be fine regardless of the amount of k's it has travelled.

Ended up putting a deposit on this.

Quite happy with the condition of a car the car considering the k's.

Only problem is an aesthetic one, the drivers seat has a small tear in it, plas sone minor paint chips on front bar.

plenty of parts around for those in the wreckers. that is the first of the renault ones as well.

I had a N15 and sold it with 425k on it. still ran well and the auto still behaved.
