Sr Box Onto Rb20Det

like the topic says is this possible, has anyone done and how did you do it?

Doable. Need front half of RB20 casing to put onto back half of SR box. Probably end up with differences in flywheel and clutch stuff that you'd need to sort out too.

Question is, why would you want to do it. The boxes are essentially the same strength, but the SR ratios suit the SR and the RB ratios suit the RB. They don't suit each other particularly well.

I have a rb20 bell housing if you need it

Straight bellhousing swap, bolt up with rb pressure plate. rb/sr friction plates are interchangeable. sr and rb20 use the same slave cylinder

dunno why you'd want to though as sr boxes cost more than rb.

Shifter will sit 50mm further back than an rb box.

reading his info he has a silvia, i think he wants to swap the sr for and rb20 and is wondering if the sr box will bolt up to the rb. but as said before you need to change the bell housing to do it
